Obama: Election 'make-or-break moment' for America

Chicago (CNN) – Kicking off a five-stop fundraising blitz in his hometown of Chicago on Friday, President Barack Obama contrasted his policies with those of the Republican presidential candidates, declaring to a ballroom of supporters that November's election will mark a "make-or-break moment" for America.

"They have a simple philosophy: We are better off when everybody is left on their own, when everybody writes their own rules," the president said of his GOP opponents without identifying them by name. "They are wrong."

Mittens has endorsed Ryan's destruction of social security and medicare, and supports personhood, tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, a war with Iraq, bailouts for Wall Street, tax breaks for foreign oil, off shore banking, corporate raiding, bankruptcy for American companies, elimination of consumer protection, and women's rights.

Dang right!! We either vote you OUT and turn this country and economy around, or you get another 4 years which will mean we will ALL be BROKE, this country included.

This country was not built by people interested in false "level playing fields". It was built by people tough as nails willing to climb mountains or dig tunnels through them for trains. They would laugh at you and spit on your "level playing field" were you alive back then.

That's my President; the candidate that I voted for! Give them heck, Barack! We got your back and will vote in droves to re-elect you this November. We canNOT let these clowns drive our economy, jobs, etc... back into that familiar ditch. We canNOT let these clowns trample our rights as US citizens! Power to ALL people, not just the privileged few.

While Obama has reduced taxes to their lowest in 50 years, it is good to remember that Ronald Reagan gave us the largest tax increase in history.

I love the president's strategy. Hit them back and hit them HARD. Since IL is next up for grabs with the clowns, its fitting he should be there reminding people that he is in it – to win it – and stating the FACTS to the American people.

Ever notice that republicans vote against every measure that will put people to work to build tunnels, roads, bridges and schools.

But according to you, everybody is better off when 20 non-tax-paying citizens are piled unto the back of ONE taxpayer.

And who has been writing their onw rules? DEMOCRATS have controlled government for most of the last 6 years!!! Years ago DEMOCRATS controlled the House for over 40 years straight! DEMOCRATS wrote and passed the laws that lead to the subprime loan housing collapse.

Everything this clown spews is lies and deceit. America can't take another 4 years of class warfare.

Can you imagine how low the unemployment rate would have been if the republicans had actually worked with the president, instead of putting their party ahead of our country?

I will be volunteering for President Obama campaign and voting a straight Democratic ticket in November. The GOP has badly lost its way. Romney and the GOP only care about the ultra wealthy and big corporations. Our income gap is the largest it has been since the Great Depression and the GOP does not care about the middle class. We need help with expensive healthcare and all the GOP offers is repealing the Affordable Care Act which is the only thing any party has done to help. We need help with retirement (since we can't save enough on our stagnating salaries) and the GOP wants to get rid of Social Security and Medicare. We need help paying for our children's college (so they have a chance) and the GOP offers nothing while President Obama has passed student loan reform that puts more money out there for student aid and less money in the pockets of middlemen like banks (the GOP was against this of course). It is a huge election for this country - do you want to keep our middle class alive or do you want ot keep giving everything to Romney and his wealthy friends while middle class workers decline more and more until it looks like a Third World Country here?

If Obama is re-elected and Obamacare starts destroying our healthcare system in 2013, along with the $6 TRILLION more in debt he plans to rack up in his next term, we will ALL have arrived at what he mean't when he said he wanted to "fundamentally transform" the country. We will ALL be BROKE and without decent healthcare.

Welcome to the Obama Level Playing Field!! Level Poverty for all.

Anyone who voted for W twice, lost any and all credibility regarding knowing if someone is a true leader! Let that be your starting point when criticizing the current POTUS. If you voted for W twice, I'll bet that you really thought Herman Cain was for real, Bachmann would be a great leader, Palin knows what she's talking about, and Reagan never raised taxes, provided amnesty for illegals, and never sold weapons to now nuclear Iran.

Equal Pay for Women can be found in the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Pay Act that extends the time to file a lawsuit for not getting equal pay. Biden yesterday said that Obama had continued what Bush started 5 years ago in the bailout of the auto industry. Universal Health Care will be mandatory, controlled by the IRS and if you don't buy an insurance policy you will get a financial penalty and it will impact your tax return and I think they can even lien you. Large companies may not hire anymore in order to pay for employees' health insurance plus you can include your adult children in the policy which will get expensive.

I hate to break it to you, but the interest alone on $16T at 3% would be $5.5T over 10 years. A $6.4T increase would be good news. We can't continue to have the lowest tax rates in 70 years, have a military as big as the rest of the world combined, support Social Security and Medicare, and reduce the national debt. It simply won't happen.
