Washington (CNN) –Mitt Romney escalated Republican attacks on President Barack Obama's energy policies Sunday, calling for the firing or resignations of what he labeled the "gas hike trio" of top energy and environment officials in the administration.
The Republican presidential hopeful's remarks on "Fox News Sunday" illustrated a GOP strategy to target Obama for rising gas prices as part of a campaign narrative that depicts the president as stifling U.S. production in order to boost alternative energy sources.

Mittens has once again shown he is unfit to be president. He has no understanding of the role speculators have on the price of oil. Even the Kochs would not like having to give up their 60 cents a gallon on gasoline.
Of course he would, he likes firing people. How hypocritical can he be? I thougt he was for free markets? I do not here him crying about the oil companies raking in billions at the expense of average Americans.
Our gas prices up here (Canada) are about $6/gallon. Did Obama's energy people hike those too? Really? Are Americans stupid enough to fall for this nonsense?
With the GOP abandoning helping the president create jobs, the only things they have left for their bumper stickers are their "Probe, baby, probe," of women, and "Two more wars!"

I say we fire the entire Administration. Even if gas comes down to $0.30 per gallon. These guys top-to-bottom have shown they have no clue about the impact of their decisions. They just like making decisions that please the liberal base. That's why when the results come in they look nothing like what was promised up front. Prosecute the Oil speculators by who are they? I think release reserve, and get Wall Street to be prosecuted, and Oil speculators, this government of US needs to know. Push more Alternative Energy into the Market. Folks need to drive less to curtail consumption. o.k, Get Oil Companies and this solves some price raise. Obama, do it forthwith. It is hurting all. 1) Romney created RomneyCare which ObamaCare is based on. Romney said he would repeal ObamaCare. Why would he if he supports RomneyCare, he is not telling the truth.
2) Most decisions Romney made as Govenor was liberal, not conservative. So, what make you think he will be conservative all of a sudden?
3) Romney lost to McCain by a landslide last GOP Primary, and McCain lost to Obama by a landslide. So, how is Romney going to win this time?
4) When Obama wishes Romney well in the election and name calls and villianizes the other candidates, beware!
5) Have you noticed the mass press and critics have shredded apart every GOP candidate except Romney? That is because they know Romney fits their agenda.
