Graham's 'comfortable' with Romney

Washington (CNN) – Although he has yet to endorse a candidate in the 2012 Republican presidential race, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday he thinks Mitt Romney will end up facing President Barack Obama in November.

"I think the primary's over. Romney will be the nominee," Graham said on CNN's "State of the Union."

"I'm very comfortable with him … he'll get to 1,144," he added, referencing the delegate total necessary to capture the nomination.

The South Carolina senator said Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich have run "phenomenal races," but Republicans of all stripes now need to work together.

"The last thing I want is a brokered convention," Graham told CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley, referring to a scenario in which none of the candidates have enough delegates to secure the nomination. "I want us to come out of Tampa united behind Romney. Conservatives socially and fiscally working with libertarians and independents to take back the White House before it's too late."

Ahead of this week's Supreme Court hearings on the national health care reform law opposed by Republicans, Graham predicted the legislation and the role of government will be the central issue of the general election.

"The vice president whispered to the president when they signed the bill two years ago, 'this is a big f-ing deal,'" Graham said. "Well now it's become a big f-ing mess for the Democratic Party and the country as a whole."

Of course Graham is comfortable with Romney. He's the chosen one. Recently there was a contest in the Virgin Island, I think, where Ron Paul won handily and Romney got the majority of the delegates. Romney won Illinois with 47%, yet received 79% of the delegates. Why bother with these contests when it appears Romney has been designated to win ahead of time? Full disclosure here, I don't know how the delegate are awarded. Just seems like the math is skewered.

So the new republican (Ryan) plan is to take money from Social Security and Medicare and give a tax break of about 33% to the top bracket!

    This is Republican class warfare.

It is not a matter of Mitt being wealthy. It is that he favor policies that screw the middle class in favor of the ultra-elite class. Hey Mitt, how much will you and your estate save in taxes if your tax plan and the Ryan plan are adopted? And who is supposed to pay in your place?

Mittens did not cause the Bush republican near depression, but President Obama ended it. Mittens did not start the Bush war in Iraq, but President Obama ended it. Mittens did not cause the loss of 8 million jobs in Bush's last three years, but President Obama stopped it and added 4 million new jobs in three years.

Mittens says that President Obama's budget deficit is three times Bush's. W had a deficit of $1.37 trillion in his last budget, and President Obama has a budget deficit of $977 billion. Mittens lied.

Lindsey looked as comfortable as I have ever seen him speaking to Candy Crowley on tv today. I am against the Millitary Establishment led Government we have, and I disagree with Lindsey on issues like Afghanistan. But what a presence he has. If he wanted to be President in 2016, I think he would win easily.

Quoting Mitt Romney: "I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country". "I believe that since Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years, that we should sustain and support it..and I sustain and support that law, and the right of a woman to make that choice." United States Senatorial debate, October 1994. (video on Youtube)

He lies all the time but it seems the RIGHT does not notice. He POINT BLANK lied to a voters face when asked about Health Care and he stated he NEVER called for a "national healthcare law!" – "He never supported Detroit car-maker bailouts, he never was for abortion and his claim that the economy has gotten worse since President Obama took office” are all LIES!

Romney LIES about everything and it's "accepted" by the RIGHT because their NUMBER ONE goal is to make President Obama a one-term President and they do not care if they have to LIE and CHEAT to TRY and accomplish that!!!

Hey Wire, what are you talking about and where in the world have you gotten Obama budget deficit numbers, when Obama still hasn't passed a budget in the 3 plus years he's been in office? Unbelievable what inaccuracis are posted and people just accept this nonsense as truth. No wonder we'll probably have another 4 years of Obama, only this time it will be Obama unleashed, and then just watch how the spending not only triples, as it has done in these past 3 plus years, but completely explodes. Please take some time to look at real numbers, instead of quoting some fictitious, non-existent Obama Budget Deficit".

On again off again Lindsey Graham. Never can quite figure him out, probably because he always checks which way the wind is blowing before he commits to anything except defense spending. Being from S.C. he has to know that racism is alive and well in the US and that the president has the responsibility to confront it just like senators should. Being like Reagan and pretending it doesn't exist won't work any more. Graham has always had the brains to do the right things, like cap and trade, but he folds very quickly if challenged by the right wing of his party. Getting reelected is his main goal.

Hey he has no choice Romney is the repubs nominee. I wonder if the repubs take office will the scale back on oil energy. Obama need to replace gas tanks in veheicle with propane gas cylinder that feed natural gas and.slap on a injector pump on to feed the piston. Since the liquid in gas is the reason why smug and carbon is entering the atmosphere why not exchange our automobile gas tanks for cleaner natual gas cylinder. Oh I forgot the lobbyist will pay their repubs attack dogs to kill this logical solution.
