President Obama, you are going to win the election. Your opponents are an embarrassment to the American people. You have one disgusting flip flopper, another tempermental emotional bully and a grouchy spiteful man. Ron Paul is a nice guy and should not be rubbing shoulders with the rest of the terrible republicans. The Republican candidates would put us in another war, not send their sons and lead this country into disaster. They are brainless, selfish, power hungry men. Dangerous and clueless on how to be peaceful with the rest of the world.

The president always shows his class!!!!!! This is the only appropriate way for him to respond to the “gaffe”. Of cause, this will not convince any of his “hater/critics” but he only said what is true. Concentrated and good negotiations can be done a lot better when he is reelected and even better when there is a new, not so hysterical congress and good Senate to work with. What is he supposed to do with a Congress that gets not even a 10% approval rating? Funny, the GOP and their candidates never speak of that or why that is…

It seems that Pres. Obama is trying to be a statesman and negotiator and is attempting to regain some leverage and support from Russia. Sen. McCain has damaged the relationship a lot with his tough talk and internet fight with Putin. It is imperative that Russia and China be in sync with other countries when dealing with Iran and North Korea. These are the two main problems facing peace right now. It is too bad that this attempt at regaining workable relations with Russia may have been saboutaged by the need to exploit cherry picked sentences from a private conversation. It seems to be an invasion of privacy that may have ramifications for further peaceful negotiations. That doesn't seem right.

It was a totally unpresidential rookie mistake that we've come to expect.

This is why he is such a bad President. Look at the reaction in Poland...does it look like they are laughing? This was the front page story on every newspaper in Poland.

He's human and humans make mistakes. But a "gaffe" like this when you are President of the United States is serious, and it's a mistake that needs to be rectified by calming the nerves of those that would be impacted by an end to the missile shields.

At least he didn't call him our worst enemy like Romney did.

Romney (or any of the others) will have us fighting WW3 within a month if they get their way.

NO MOrE REPUBLICANS EVER. (especially extremists)

Did anyone else notice how he didn't whine and blame the media for "gotcha" journalism? Once again, President Obama proves he's the ONLY grownup in the race.

Hey I don't see what the uproar is, why every thing got to be done by war with these repubs, what happens to a little negotiation. This president have negotiated more deals with other nations, more than most president's before him, but these rabid repubs sees every thing he does as a conspiricy. I guest they've been lessoning to Limbaugh and rush too much.

That's the problem with Obama. Everything is a joke to him. His entire joke of a presidency has been one big stand up routine. Unfortunately, it's not funny to those of us who are suffering under his oppression.

"What? I'm only unilateraly disarming America in exchange for... well, nothing. America shouldn't be the world's only superpower."

Dreams from my father, son of an anti colonialist black nationalist, grandson of a Mao Mao terrorist. Three years ago we were an economic and military superpower. Who would have thought decline could be so rapid?

"Request for flexibility?" Let's not play with words here. The jokester in chief was promising flexibility to the Russians after the election when he was no longer accountable to the American people. He owes us all an explanation, not a nudge, nudge and a wink, wink.

Nothing funny about it. Any President making those comments in referance to our national security and his election should frighten any American citizan .

I am so comforted that Mr. Obama finds his politically based comment on the security of the United States so amusing. Why should the President's policy on a missile defense system be based on the prospects of his reelection? The answer is quite obvious. If he told the American people what his true feelings are about the security of the United States he would be run out of town on a rail and possibly face charges of treason. It doesn't seem that much of a stretch that Obama's little whisper of assurance in the Russian President's ear provided aid and comfort.
