Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

I thought this woman doesn't read any newspapers and magazines but knows that Zeleny is a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama." Keep up the entertainment on Fox News Sarah I am sure they are getting there moneys worth.

Bottom line is if Santorum is running low on sleep and he cannot handle a news reporter on Santorum's playing field, then how is he supposed to handle a REAL crisis when it occurs.

I have no problem with someone releasing their stress on something but it should not be on someone who can REALLY make you look bad and has the resources to do it.

Obviously he and the other candidates are getting worn down and need more rest. This is a tough process and it should be.

He slipped and it will not look good to a lot of people.

Only time will tell on this one.

That remark might show strength in mississippi, alabama, or texas, but in an educated situation, it shows nothing but lack of class.

So the Black Widow of Politics has chosen her next victim. Santorum is now official done. Just look at her last victims, McCain, Gingrich and now Santorum. Once you have her support it is all over death by association. I think we should loan her out to the Dems and she can work on Pres. Obama's re-election. That way it would be a sure bet that a Republican will be in the White House come Jan 2013.

As a side note Santorum not only knows the devil he uses the Father of all Lies methods. He will make a remark like Romney is the worst Republican to go up against Obama or last week when he said the there is no difference between Obama and Romney and if that is the case we should just keep with Obama. He has been taught by someone how to phrase a sentence that has two meaning and that way he can play the victim every time someone call him out on it.

"........because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

Yes, Sarah, and the American people, at least a huge number of them, are also tired of right wing religious whackos who appear to be anti-gay, anti-female, and anti everything not consistent with a fundamentalist Christian view of the world. Oh, P.S., I'm neither gay nor a left wing liberal.

Always blame it on the media, its now OLD. The dude said it, period. Own up to it, say I said it the wrong way, and let it be known your intention. This is typical GOP, they think people of this country are just stupid, and those on the right that follow these clowns, well...if the shoe fits, where it !

Oh, yes, these comments of the ex-half-governor of Alaska and “what does a VP do?” Ms. Palin shows always so well what the GOP stands for: Party of “NO”, no ideas, no respect, no class, no plan, no realization what their careless talk does internationally, no sense of reality, no smarts, no feeling for the middle class and poor, no, nO, NO, No, no – any way you like to write it, it’s the GOP! NOMORE!!! Please, do take a close look at what they stand for – not for you, or the country, that is for sure!!!!

I think the Media gets out of control just for a story. They should just report the news, not make it up.

The reporter did NOT twist Santorum's words, unless Sarah thinks that a direct quote is some kind of spin. Santorum's filthy mouth was a brief and simple pitch to those with necks of red who find him a little to straight laced to be genuine. It was a calculated, timed dirty word from "Mr. Clean." Sarah is just too simple to understand it.

The right of the media to ask questions and report on it is in the FIRST AMENDMENT. These clowns in the GOP wrap themselves in the constitution when it scores them political points, but as soon as it inconveniences them they're happy to cherry pick.

I just dont understand these people.

The reporter asked Santorum to comment on a quote he made. santorum went on a schoolyard tirade squealing how he never said that and it was all lies by the reporter.

After the fact, it turns out the reporter was right, and the quote was EXACT. So santorum was WRONG. No question, no debate, no uncertainty. he was WRONG.

But in modern politics, if you get caught lying, just pile more lies onboard. he just moves on, reinforces his claim without ever admitting he was factually wrong. In what other aspect of human behaviour would this be acceptable? Try this in a classroom, in a boardroom, even with friends.

Santorum is a liar, and too chickenshlt a coward to admit it, even when the facts are there for the world to see. I'm starting to realise the google definition of his name is startlingly accurate.

But santorum said exactly that! It's on tape; how does it show strength when you just outright lie? I guess Sarah wants to be his VP candidate? One thing for sure: Mitt has some competition in the flip-flop department now.
