Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

Santorum is unfit for office, Palin is washed up, and Faux News is essentially now paying people to create news.

Don't like Rick. Don't like Palin. But the Media always takes a slant and distorts reality. Not necessary!

There's not a word that comes out of any of the potential candidates, congress or oval office that isn't a lie. They are all utterly and totally corrupt and owned by the corporations. Both parties and every member of congress commits treason every single day taking the corporate bribes.

She is brainless. I would pick up and move to The Bahamas if there was the slightest chance she would lead this country. A twit.

I do agree that the media twists the words of these candidates. If you are liberal and listen to conservative media, you can see that, and if you're conservative listening to liberal media, you can see that. It is obvious if you know the facts and aren't in fact a "sheep." BUT, in this case, the words were not distorted and were not twisted. Santorum has stuck his foot in his mouth several times lately, and he knows it. Just add one to the gaffe column.

Even though he called BS, I thought the reporter was quoting him....am I wrong? How does she defend a remark that was wrong to begin with?

    Gotta love the GOP.

Notice she hasn't said anything about how badly she was portrayed as a politician in the movie Game Change. Maybe cause it's true.

Does anyone care that HE ACTUALLY SAID IT earlier that day!?? Leave it to Palin to endorse saying something then denying it.

the bottom line is Pailin is irrelevant, and boy is she uglier lately? Secondly, do you really want Santorum getting the 3 am phone call with that temper? He does not have the integrity needed to have the highest office in the land.

Santorium is on tape (CNN has it on another post) saying that he thinks Mittens is the worst Repub candidate; the fact that the Quitta is so willing to go along with the lie that the reporter was engaged in "gotcha" journalism and twisting words is yet another example of how pathetically delusional the Quitta is.

Gee, I thought Conservatives were all about personal responsibility ... a reporter asks them about words they've actually spoken (and have on tape), and they have a hissy fit.

What a bunch of whiny children!

Why am I still clicking on stuff she says and does? Maybe to learn lessons about the ridiculous. I'm a Democrat, but I pity any Republican candidate this goofball supports. I wonder how many votes Santorum will lose 'cause she "approved" of something he did.

Yeah, good job in using offensive expletives just like we are all taught in the Holy Bible to do. Especially since this reporter had the gall to question you about something you have been quoted verbatim as saying.

I was offended when I heard that Santorum dropped a swear word on a reporter, until I learned that the reporter was Jeff Zeleny. Then I wondered what took him so long.

How 'bout that Fox reporter at the WH press briefing twisting Obama's words regarding gas prices. He was trying to get Obama to say that the higher gas prices were a result of Obama's policies. Obama called him out and in so many words, said the reporter was pretty stupid for suggesting that a sitting president would want higher gas prices going into an election season.

Why don't we hear more about how the Right twists things around? Liberal media my @)##@.
