Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

who care what Sarah Palin thinks. She is irrelavant. This type of comment from her shows her level of professionalism. She is only concerned with herself and insuring that she stays popular enough to warrrant another book. My kids saw Santorum's tantrum and said: " Why does an important man like Santorum who is running for President swear like that?". Palin and Santorum only thinking about themselves did not consider who is watching them....Thank goodness for Romney type people. At least he has enough professional charactore and wisdom to know who might be watching him. That is why he will be the nominee and the eventual President.....Whew, can you'all imagine a Santorum or Palin in the W/hitehouse? scary....We've had enough of the "Learning-on-the-Job", incompetent Presidents.......

Palin, Hannity, O'Rielly, Limbaugh, Santorum, and the rest of that evil bunch is why I no longer use the term "Christian" to describe myself – they have dishonored the name of Christ with their lies, their love of power to oppress the vulnerable, their support of the rich over the cause of the poor...they support all things which are contrary to christianity and Christ...

If President Obama said he opposed suicide and then a NYT reporter made a story out of his opposition to suicide, do you think that Silly Sarah and the GOP would be willing to show their strong opposition to Everything President Obama supports? Would they be willing to go out en mass and commit suicide? Maybe they could chant: "keep the government out of my death!"
Not too many would miss them. And then we could get work done here. No one would be left to get in the way.

    Birds of a feather.
Here is what I saw. Rick Santorum said "X". He did not say, "sometimes X" or "kind of X", or "looks like X". He said "X".
When he was asked about what he said by a reporter (Fox, NYT, Pravda, it doesn't matter) he didn't like the question, so he blamed the reporter.
Rick, those things on the podium are microphones. Those things in the back are cameras.
When you say it, you own it. Don't blame the reporter if you get caught telling the truth.

So Sarah thinks that Zeleny is in the tank for Obama, so she obviously makes the comment on "fair and balanced" Faux News. They are not in the bag for anyone, wink wink. I suppose this makes sense in "her world"

"the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

Yes, how dare the media do it's job and ask questions of public figures who seek to lead our country.

Awesome. Just awesome. Overzealous, so-called "christian" candidates for president are either cursing out or praising said cursing-out of certain journalist/media outlets. Just because they're not Fox News. Great. Wasn't the president of the united states supposed to be someone your kids could look up to? I can't remember a presidential race where the candidates were this butt-hurt by the media.

This is just a disgrace. I don't care about the curse so much, but the fact that the presidentiality has been completely taken out of this primary. Its become acceptable to curse journalists of a news outlet that supposedly doesn't support your views. Its become acceptable to say absolutely ridiculous/offensive things and take ridiculous/offensive views. Stupidity has become acceptable! Herman Cain didn't know a thing about foreign policy when asked, and just said "The president doesn't have to know anything about Ubeki-beki-beki-stan."...He said that when he was a front runner! The guy probly couldn't point to Saudi Arabia on a globe and people supported him! People embraced that kind of thinking!!!! This primary is a classless, clueless, and careless circus with 3 extremist candidates remaining (Yes, Ron Paul is extremist in his own way too) and a chameleon that blends in with whichever political environment will get him elected, which is just as dangerous in this hyper partisan, Anti-Obama climate we're living in now.

Go Sarah. If it wasn't for you showing these guys how to fight, Conservatives would still be keeping their mouths shut and afraid to stand up to the left wing media. What you were subjected to and how you stood your ground has raised the courage of all Conservatives. You keep fighting the Left and backing those Conservatives that do. When I see a Conservative defend himself – I give the credit to you.
