Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

Wearing a pushup bra, with the same old hairdo and glasses and she is "like" saying like, 'good on ya'. What an intelligent human being. She actually thought she was capable of being the figure head for the United States of America on the world stage. Umm I don't thinkkkk so.

Actually Sarah, what the American people are tired of, is you spouting off nasty, ugly untruths yet when someone says anything nasty about you, you’re always a victim. Don't you every get tired of playing the victim card? I never ever thought some of the things said about you were fair, the attacks were justified. But you turned into one of those people. You and people like you are just one big Jerry Springer show and it's disgusting. You reap what you sow.

    @ Lucy.....

I think you need to go back to pulling the football away from Charlie Brown with some of the stuff you are posting here. Galveston Texas is about 55 miles away from my house but I darn sure can NOT see it!! You AND Palin either have beyond 20/20 vision or are somewhat delusional. I think it might be the latter.

the political atmosphere in this country is a result of the rising to the top of people and their children who held opposing views to the government post-60s....they wanted racism, desegration, discrimination, denial of voter rights, etc... to stay in place...they have thrived on government welfare and have become a force in american politics...now they are at a point in history where they want everything to go back to pre-60's. Most of these people are first-generation americans....and are mean and greedy as hell.

Ah, yes, the liberal media. Who controls Fox News? The Wall Street Journal? Pretty much any daytime talk radio?

Sarah's not one to let the facts get in her way, and evidently neither is Santorum.

Who cares what this person thinks – she's only relevant as a tool of opinion

This government's opinion is the problem – None of them use facts, nor compromise to solve a problem
They're only interested in being popular enough to gain a vote – not actually solving any of the government self-made problems

The rhetoric is mind-boggling. A malaprop congratulating an insane candidate and whimpering about "liberal" media as IF it existed. She knows well it doesn't, she spews for Fox after all.

Yup, just like what poor Palin had to put up with, Santorum had has words twisted when a lefty-pinko-commie reporter read back to him an EXACT QUOTE of what he said about Romney.
