Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

The fire breathing dragon Palinzilla speaks again. Another irrelevant comment from an irrelevant person. I feel sorry for your husband having to listen to all of that clap trap.

If the Quitta from Wasilla wasn't a Repub MILF, she never would have been elected to anything in the hardest-up State in the Union, let alone get the attention she does now.

    Palin = Quitter, Liar, Mooch

Hey Sarah the PAIN how about serving your country and going overseas to fight the terrorist without retreating. Show us how tough you really are. But hey you are a two time quitter so that answers it all. BETCHA you would be running to your MOMMA. You and Santorum would be running like hell.
PLEASE just go away and stop milking those dumb REPS all vicious lies. At one point you were ok looking but now you really look like a bulldog with lipsticks.

Did Palin even look at the video? The statement the reporter questioned Santorum about used THE EXACT WORDS Santorum spoke!

In other words, the "leftist media" didn't twist Santorum's words, they simply repeated exactly what he said.
Same as they do with Palin.

There's no need for the media to distort the words of these conservative Republicans. They all manage to sound ridiculous on their own.

Oh Sarah, our dear Wasilla hillbilly, how do you continue to captivate so many with your inbred wit and sensibilities? Sigh.

Can't stand to listen to that whiney voice. It probably could set a nuke off.

Not much of a surprise as she will defend Newt or Santorum on just about everything but not Mitt. According to her, he needs more vetting & this is the second time around he runs for president. She is mistaken herself with Mitt as she didn't get enough vetting. She is totally irrelevant.

Aw, Sarah's just ticked because the media got the better of her. That she would come out swinging over something this pithy is an even pithier attempt to remain relevant. Grossness.

Why do you still speak, why must we hear from you. Please, if you love America as much as you say you do, then just go away and leave us alone and maybe one day when we don't hear from your juvenile mouth for a year we can regain the greatness of America

Explain to me again how repeating a candidate's words to them and asking them for a further explanation is "bulls--." The tape shows the reporter was right on the comment, yet Sanitorium refuses to admit he was wrong to go off with the profanity. Now the queen of wrong is there to back him up. Get real, you bleeping idiots!

Oh good – Palin and Santorum, the two "victims" of "liberal" media.

How's her bridge to nowhere coming along?

I am conservative, but I think Santorum and Palin should step aside for the good of the party.

I do not understand how the "liberal media" twisted his words when the reporter repeated them verbatim. I guess if you make a statement and do not like the way it sounds when repeated exactly as you said it, it is twisted.

Is it any surprise that she liked it...? Nice, simple words she can understand... she calls it the liberal media, but in reality it's more about her comprehension skills... it's tough to understand facts when you haven't earned your grade 10 yet...

Yes, Republicans, follow the lead of your dead master, Richard Nixon. Anyone in opposition should be shouted down, harassed if possible. This man, Santorum, actually thinks he has the demeanor to be President of the most powerful country in the world, and this bimbo laps up everything he says "'cause he's a good christian man."

I weep for true Conservatives everywhere. Their party has been hijacked by morons.

Santorum's attack on the reporter was totally unprovoked. It appeared to me that Santorum saw the CNN logo and went on the attack. That's his MO: Aimlessly shooting his mouth off, into the dark.

Another great contribution to society bringing resolve to all of our current problems. I can't stop laughing every time I see Palin's face and hear her worthless commentary. Condoning being rude is expected.

Seriously, over 90% of republicans are simple-minded and child-like. The others are the filthy rich, or star-struck supporters of the filthy rich. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge them for being rich....I begrudge them for being rich and ultra-greedy to the point that they hoard most of their money, which actually takes that money out of circulation.

Money that's left in circulation has a MULTIPLIER EFFECT! When you buy $1 worth of gas that dollar does not disintergrate or burn up in mid-air. The gas station uses that very SAME dollar to pay the oil company, which turns around and uses that very SAME dollar to pay its driver, who turns around and uses that very SAME dollar to buy a hamburger at Wendy's, which uses that very SAME dollar to pay their counter help, etc.

But when you take money OUT of the economy it has exactly the opposite effect. It causes the economy to shrink due to less and less money being in circulation. The more money that is left in circulation the better it is for EVERYBODY...even the super-rich! More POWER to the middle-class!!!

People of the United States of America,
Based on the previous comments, I see the Gabby Giffords teachable moment was lost on the Left Wing.
When was the last time the Media asked the President a real "Gotcha Question"?Being a "nice guy" is not going to work in this Presidental Election. The Presidents people, will stoop as low as nessecary to do everything they can with the media to help the President.be re-elected.All this Administrations scandels and failures need to be in Power Point Bullet Form each time a Republican is interviewed on every Cable News Program.

SARAH ROCKS ! She' right again. I'll bet NONE OF YOU actually know that the NYT Reporter was asking and what they have printed before (falsely) on Santorum.

IGNORANCE LIVES IN LIBERAL DEMOCRATS SO MUCH – everything, no matter how small or large, is partisan.
