(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.
The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."
Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."
The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."
Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."
"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."
When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."
Yes, yes. How dare the liberal media thugs ask a question like "What kind of foreign policy experience do you have?"
Santorum is well qualified to recognize when BS is being dispensed. He spews it all the time.
As a liberal, I'm standing with Santorum on this one. Journalists should have a duty to report full news stories, not try to conjecture up stories and aid a political agenda. We need more people, on the left and right, demanding accurate portrayals of comments, and need both parties to stand together on this so the voting public is actually informed so they can make choices on their own views and decisions, not based on a reporters political agenda.
The Republicans feed the country with lies to promote their protect the rich and oil companies policies. Climate change is not man made, cutting taxes and lowering spending stimulates the economy, drilling for oil is a sound energy policy and Obamacare is an intrusion on liberty. These are some of the lies that we are forced to contend with and they are hurting this country. What is a "liberal media elite" anyway? Somebody who recognizes these Republican lies?
"I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."
Yes Sarah... a world of ignorance, lack of intellectual curiosity and greed. You two belong together.Oh... I missed class, style and grace. Time to get the lipstick back out... Sarah's opening her dumb mouth again!
Santorum and Palin: Two of the dumbest conservatives in history. Santorum wasn't even basing his anger on any sort of truth. He said exactly what the NYT reporter asked about and somehow in Rickworld, the blame always goes on to the non-existant Liberal Media.
Have another Oly on me, Sarah.
Mr. Santorum was quoted verbatim. He denied his words. This displays either lying or foolishness. Neither of these is a good quality in a leader.
Snooki Palin and Ricky Santorum are two peas in a pod. Tampa will be a blast to watch as the back room deals bounce Mitt McCain out of the hall. Obama/Biden 2012!
Bovine scatology, as General Norman Schwartzkoff called it, seems to be an all-too-readily recognizable trait for the current GOP POTUS bidders, which calls forth the old adage-"It takes one to know one."
"the leftist media continues to do to conservatives" I love this. How is she able to keep a straight face as she says this on FOX news. She has resorted to name calling, that the best she can do. This woman needs to go away.
Santorum and Palin talk like The New York Times is some kind of tabloid... This is probably overall the nations most long standing and accuracte periodical.
It's a shame when tags like conservative or liberal means you can blow off respected institutions.
It is a sign how conservatism, in its ugly and populist form, gives social permission to be ignorant. You would never have heard Goldwater, Reagan or McCain ever talk like that to a respected national newspaper.
Does anybody care what Palin says after being exposed as a know-nothing fraud?
No class. Conservatives used to have class. Goldwater, Reagan and even McCain would have never blown off The New York Times like that over a real question with especially strong relevance in an election year.
Makes sense she approves of this, it's her MO too. If you can't answer tough questions, yell at the person asking them. Never mind his own words were used against him. Where exactly is the bull, except coming out of your mouth?
liberal ya right! Can't figure out whats correct? Just blame it on the liberals, obamma And everything but poor behavior.
The funny thing is, Santorum HAS said that about Romney...
Palin said, "they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."
She might first consider the toilet she and other conservatives like her did to the economy and the American people.
This is how you react to those with whom you disagree? You attack, insult, gossip, and spread lies. Cowards, put your name on your "thoughts". It's one thing to stand up for what you believe, but this shows your true colors. Unkept, unmonitored, foul mouthed, and proud of it. You can be better than this, and you know it. Place your efforts in positive pursuits.
As the Queen of Bull#!%t she should know it when she hears it. She probably wishes she had married Ricky, since they see the world through the same eyes. Pretty soon we'll see them both on book tours and Fox shows, playing the victim card and laughing all the way to the bank at the suckers who finance their trip.
So if you "quote" a GOP candidate about what they said and ask for clarification, "your twisting their words".
Pricesless, from a moron and a half.
It's what she eats, sleeps, and drinks every day of her pathetic, "grizzly-mama" life, so why shouldn't she praise it; she'd die of malnourishment without it!
I agree with her. The more I watch the news the more I begin to believe that the media companies are guilty of treason for distorting the facts the way they do. Running cliche used to be that all politicians lie, now, I know longer believe most of what I read in the news. I know a teenager died in Florida recently, past that, I cant rely on anything else I have read. Very Sad.
But it wasn't a lie! Santorum DID say Romney was the worst candidate. The media didn't twist his words at all. Santorum was the one lying.
Oh well, he's got no chance at the nomination anyway.

Stop blaming the media for repeating what you alreaady said. Its the name of the game if you want to be president. Stop whinning and grow up. You want to be president you have to deal with the media right or left. The president gets bashed on a daily by fox or any other rightwing media outlet. The difference is he is not cusing them out when the ask a question. Rick is just not a good politicans. You got to be a good politicans to be president. Republicans seem to forget that their in politics. Businessman,Pope,Moon explorer,Human shield, but not one decent politicans.
