(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.
The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."
Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."
The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."
Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."
"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."
When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

I agree. It is time for all conservatives to speak out,the media in the US is totally one sided. This is not healthy for our country.
The media is full of clowns and this one got called out (rightfully). The clown's are so egotistical enough to believe their attack on Santorum won't be recognized for what it is – sending a message not to talk back to them. The clown should be fired.

I was in the UK over the weekend and her name there brings laughs, she is a fool was the common expression. When people found out I was from the States, they said.."oh you are from where that nutjob Palin is from?" She is a laughing stock from Boston to Bakersfield, Peoria to Phoenix and Europe too. She would not be the face of America that we want...she is just too full of herself and has nothing to offer...shame on her for opening her mouth! She should have taken her loss like a lady and just moved on...but she didn't, she got sucked in by that limelight and for the few who think she is worth it, continues to smear her ideas on the world...what a loser.
Someone in this year's GOP primaries accusing someone else of "bulls-" is difficult to fathom. The candidates have, collectively, made "bulls-" their daily staple. I suppose it makes them experts in recognizing it . . .

When did left and right become religions in the US is what I want to know. Replace the words "leftist media" with "Jewish media" (or pick any other ethnic term) and see how far that would get you in 2012. But the media has become a scapegoat. I'm waiting for one of these jokers to play the "leftist media" cards only to find the target is a registered Republican.

Has the political world always been this silly? I don't want to bemoan the loss of something that never existed, but this has gone beyond ridiculous. We're going to praise a man for his snide response to a reporter? I've seen the clips. The NY Times reporter REPEATED EXACTLY what Santorum said in his speech and asked him if he truly felt that way. Why do Republicans play such games?
This is just another example of Santorum lacking self control and lacking the dignity and stability needed to be a good leader. If he can not control himself when dealing with the press , how is he going to maintain control when dealing with some of the world leaders he finds distasteful. Diplomacy and tact are valuable assets in a leader, and appears that santorum is unfamiliar with both.
Of course she would, this is just some of the "the family values" we keep hearing. Santorum is just one step away
from being led off an aircraft in cuffs. This guy is so wired he is ready to to implode.
To those who say why we should listen to this woman, please, notice this is a free country. We listen to whatever we want to even the trashy liberal media.
