Washington (CNN) – Former President George H.W. Bush asked Mitt Romney if his son, former President George W. Bush, had endorsed Romney, leading to an awkward moment Thursday on the campaign trail for the former Massachusetts governor.
"Has he endorsed you," President George H.W. Bush asked Romney at an event in Houston, Texas, where the elder Bush announced his formal support for Romney.

"'It’s time when to hold ‘em and time when to fold ‘em,'" the elder Bush said, quoting Texas crooner Kenny Rogers after an interjected reminder from his wife, Barbara. "I think it’s time for people to all get behind this good man."

(CNN) - On Thursday, Newt Gingrich reacted to one of the most coveted political endorsements of this presidential cycle: Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio's backing of Mitt Romney.
"It makes sense," Gingrich told CNN during a flight to Wisconsin. The former House speaker is set to campaign in Milwaukee later Thursday and has scheduled events in the Badger state both Friday and Saturday.

Washington (CNN) - Voters in Wisconsin over the last few days have witnessed a full arsenal assault on Rick Santorum by the Mitt Romney campaign and the super PAC supporting it.
A mailer from Restore Our Future, obtained by CNN, asks "What do you believe is our best path forward?" Above a picture of Romney it says "The American way" and above a picture of Santorum are the words "or the Washington way?"
