Washington (CNN) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney picked up another major endorsement Friday when conservative favorite Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, whose state votes Tuesday, called Romney "the right person for the job."
"I am convinced that Mitt Romney has the skills, the tenacity, the principles, the courage and the integrity to do what it takes to get America back on track," Ryan said on Fox News. "I believe he is the right person for the job."
(CNN) - The recall election against Republican Gov. Scott Walker was ordered on Friday by Wisconsin's Government Accountability Board, the board's public information officer confirmed to CNN.
After more than 900,000 signatures were collected, the group voted five to zero to order an election against the incumbent governor on June 5 and schedule a Democratic primary for May 8.

Washington (CNN) - The Democratic Governors Association on Friday reported raising approximately $8 million in the first three months of 2012.
The new figure is over $2 million more than in the first quarter of the comparable 2008 election cycle, according to the organization in charge of electing Democrats to state houses.
(CNN) - Mitt Romney's winning streak will continue Tuesday in Wisconsin if a new poll out of the Badger State proves correct.
The NBC/Marist Poll released Friday indicated Romney edged out his Republican opponents with 40% support from likely primary voters, followed by Rick Santorum's 33%, Ron Paul's 11% and Newt Gingrich's 8%.

Presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich held a private meeting last weekend in Louisiana, CNN has learned. The meeting was pleasant and productive, sources told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King, and took place on ahead of the state's primary.

(CNN) - Support for the war in Afghanistan has fallen to an all-time low with the majority of Americans saying the U.S. should withdraw all of its troops from Afghanistan before the 2014 deadline set by the Obama administration, according to a new poll.
The CNN/ORC International survey released Friday indicated only 25% of Americans favored the war in the Asian country. A majority of Republicans voiced opposition to it, for the first time since the war began in 2001.
