Romney endorsements brighten aura of inevitability

Washington (CNN) - Another major conservative figure backs Mitt Romney. His voice joins a growing chorus of major names in the Republican Party calling for the divisive GOP nomination battle to come to an end.

On Friday, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan endorsed Romney's bid for the White House, saying, "I believe he is the right person for the job."

    @SR – Romney has lied about almost every conceivable subject, repeatedly during this campaign. He has repeated those lies and then lied about lying. He has deliberately misquoted the President to lie about his positions and then attack the 'fake' positions which are only lies. He has no integrity whatsoever. Had I ever come in contact with him during my career, I would have not turned my back on him for a second. He is the ultimate corporate weasel.

    He turned Bain from a venture capital company helping startup companies into full blown corporate raiders, who destroyed companies and the lives of their employees to reap huge profits. The sucked the value out of companies and left the carcuses to die. He is a master at killing jobs, outsourcing, offshoring. Vultures marvel at how well he can pick all the meat off the bones.

    I will say the Kochs, the turd blossom Rove, the swift boaters, big oil, Wall Street, big banks, and foreign corporations are supporting Mittens, and with the help of Fox foreign owned media with a hint of Saudi, right wingnuts are starting to fall in line.

    As much as the Grand Oligarchy Party (GOP) wants to keep the public stupid they are failing at that too. We see these politicians for hire for what they are – anything for profit. They will sell the air we breath, the water we drink, the food we eat, the country we love – for a profit.
    They are of the true “oldest profession”, and it ain’t politics.

    Yes, let the conservatives explain their support of a man who supported raising fees( taxes) in MA with, among other thing, a $.02/per gallon gas retailer fee, as well as raising costs on hunting permits, drivers licenses, etc, something that disproportionately affected the working poor. Let them explain their support for a man who closed over 300 million dollars worth of corporate tax loopholes ( despite the opposition of the business community). Let them explain how the last in a series of GOP governors who drove businesses out of his state can claim he is a job creator. Let them explain why local roperty taxes in MA rose from 49% to 53% statewide during his tenure was a good thing. Let them explain how increasing the number of employed people in MA less than 1.5% in 4 years ( 75,000 jobs in total) gives him the right to say he understands how the economy works. I would love to see exactly what their reasons are, in light of the facts that his primary opponants and the National Review have provided me with. This is information culled by conservatives and Republicans: in light of that, can anyone say Romney is ready for anything, or is he out of his league?

    The list of items that Obama has lied about or flip floped on is too long to list. BTW, has he taken responsibility for ANYTHING he has done? He was sure eager to take credit for increased oil output that was due to George Bush. Mr. Integrit HHAAHAHA!!!

    "People may not recognize his integrity and values now, because campaigns get so immersed in mud-slinging and name-calling, but America is discovering what a great leader Mitt is."
    ---------------------------------------------------------
    He's doing the mud-slinging! Hello! How would people ever discover integrity in a liberal/moderate/conservative/pro-life/pro-choice/pro-Obamacare/anti-Obamacare Etch-A-Sketch filp-flopper? He's the lackey for the Koch brothers! He'd be a great POTUS for them – and the rest of the uber-rich club. He whould be a horrible elitist for the rest of us.

    @Truth and Nothing But the Truth – "Romney will make a GREAT President."
    *******************************************************************
    A little premature, aren't you. Right now, Obama leads Romney in all six polls that make up the RCP average, including Rasmussen and Fox news, which both skew conservative. Our President also leads in the battleground states of PA +4.7%, VA +5.2%, OH +5.4%, FL +1.8%, CO +2%, NC +3%, and WI +11.8%. Once again, I hope you stay on this site past November 6, but I expect you will just slink away, unless you have an uncontrollable need to spout angry sour grapes.

    Paul Ryan, I think he hates old people and love rich millionares. Please do not vote for Mitt Romney. If you want to take care of you Mom, Dad, Grandpa and Grandma you are Not going to vote Republican. Instead of picking on the rich oil barons and stopping the tax incentives for the oil men they rather pick on the Medicare, Healthcare, and Social Security of our parents and grandparents. Down for Republicans y.ou SUCK

    Sorry Mikey, but Bain Capital is truly one of the good guys. They do make nice profits, but the right way. By helping very large companies improve their business plans and execute strategies that help the company and their employees. There are some excellent examples in a range of industries, but the ones in consumer businesses that many readers would be familiar with are Michaels, AMC Entertainment, Staples, Toys R Us, The Burlington Coat Factory, Outback Steak Houses...and these are not "destroyed" companies. They thrive. And they employ tens of thousands of Americans.

    Hey, stock market rose 8% this quarter, best performance in years. Why vote for Romney who will send it tumbling down again? By the way, truth, why don't you give us a sample of your list of things you haste about the president, and be specific this time. Your posts always have a lack of facts, and a helluva lot of hate. Show some integrity for once.

    Really, let's be honest here, who else to the Republicans have? The insane Santorum? Gingrich? Kooky Paul? None of them stand the slightest chance except Romney they HAVE to support him unless they want a train wreck at their convention.

    @ Truth and Four I've been reading your posts over the last 2 months and the tone has been edgier as it becomes clear President Barack Obama will be win. The stances you are taking are becoming more absurd. The only thing divisive about President Barack Obama to the GOP/TP is the color of his skin. I would have more respect for you as a person if you just stated the trvth! YOU DON'T WANT A BLACK MAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE! The truth shall set you free. I once, but no more, respected your honesty though disagreeing with your opinions. That's what America is about and what makes us great, diversity is strength.

    Mikey - A little premature, aren't you.
    =============================
    No more premature than Obama telling his Russian buddy he be more "lexible" after his re-election. Arrogance AND deceit all in one statement,

    ===================================================================================================
    The Republican primaries are still in process! Obama, in a fit of panic, has already started running ads against several Republican candidates, including Romney. Totally unheard of. It is because his poll numbes are dismal for a sitting president. Once Romney is able to train his guns on Obama and his miserable record of failure, and offer a far better alternative, Obama will sink like lead.

    Once again, I hope you stay on this site past November 6, but I expect you will just slink away, unless you have an uncontrollable need to spout angry sour grapes.
    =============================================================================================
    On I'll definitely be here to comfort all you loser lefties, just like I was after the 2010 election. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it.

    right on... I fully expect Truth to continue the rants – even more so after a Nov loss. After all, by then there will be nothing left to lose for the GOP. In other words, I fully expect more of the same ridiculous drivel from Truth after Nov as we get now. Romney – should he be chosen, doesn't stand a chance in Nov.
