Obama to hit Ryan’s budget plan

(CNN) – President Obama is set to hit back against Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget proposal Tuesday, less than a week after the controversial measure was approved by the House of Representatives largely along partisan lines.

According to senior administration officials, the president’s remarks at an Associated Press luncheon in Washington will echo the themes of economic fairness and shared responsibility the president advanced during a speech in Osawatomie, Kansas last fall and again at the State of the Union in January.

So how many DEMOCRATS have voted for ANY of Obama's budgets? Answer: ZERO.

Obama and the Democrats are a complete joke when it comes to budgets and finances I can't believe he dares talk about this since he's been such a complete failure in this area. The Republicans will have no problem whatsoever in nailing him to the wall with his own words and deeds.

In a simple terms, Paul Ryan is a total idiot. He does not have guts to raise taxes on rich, taking revenge on American Middle Class. Entire GOP idiots are Shame for this nation, and disgrace. Yes. Obama2012.

Seriously? President Failure is going to criticize someone else's budget? The congressional democrats haven't passed a budget in over 1000 days and his own budget proposals have been defeated by the house 414-0 and in the senate 97-0. President Failure can't even muster up one single looney democrat to support him. Disgraceful.

Ryan's "budget" is a softball, just waiting to be pulverized. Way to double down on dumb, Eddie Munster.

WOW - ARE YOU NOT EMBARRASSED AS A JOURNALIST TO USE THE WORD "CONTROVERSIAL" IN THIS CONTEXT? Why is the Ryan plan "controversial"? It is a plan that encapsulates conservative ideas. Are conservative ideas controversial? If the liberals put forth a budget plan (which they have not, for 3 years but that is not the point) - would you also describe their plan as "controversial" as well? I think not.

Ryan`s plan is like jumping out of an airplane without a parachute and expecting one to miraculously appear on the way down.

For oboma fair is for the employed to support the lazy and the freeloaders. Of course he has a majority backing him because most are taking handouts from the government now.

Please, all "conservatives" that want this Ryan budget passed, call the Gubmint TODAY and tell them you no longer want Medicare coverage. Tell them you no longer want social security benefits. Send all your money to those poor "job creators" in the defense industry.

By doing the above, you are well on your way to living the Ryan Budget.

C'mon baggers shed that soshulizm known as Medicare. Do it now, help the deficit if it's that GD important to you today...

If Medicaid is ended for the elderly in nursing homes, mostly decrepit old women, what does the GOP plan to do with them. Wheel them to the nearest road and dump them out to fend for themselves? Or maybe appoint congressional death squads to go out and eliminate them? The majority of the GOP has no touch with the reality us baby boomers with aged parents live every day. I suppose they think I should quit my job, lose my health insurance and retirement, just so I can leave my husband and move in with my immobile, incontenent parents and take care of them 24-7 until all three of us die.

too bad a great deal of people that vote fur Amurka and not that socialist/marxist/commie (whatever fat boy says that day) are voting against their best interests. So what are the poor and sick going to do when the GOP slashes their benefits and says "too bad Cletus and Mandy Jo Brandi"?

  14. The Real Tom Paine

Its amusing to see all the Red State Welfare recipients on here clamoring for the Ryan Budget, when their own miserable 3rd-world Confederacies depend on those federal dallars to keep themselves afloat. They are accusing Obama of being a failure, yet they have not made a single serious budget proposal when economic catastrophe was not imminent due to their childish stalling. I guess the righties just want their free lunch, AGAIN. By the way, its the rigthies that went off the rails, people: ask some real Republicans what they think of the national party, and they just shake their heads. Of course, they don't get invites to the torchlight parades and the book burnings.

  15. The Greedy Old Pigs declared class war on US!

Paul "The Undertaker" Ryan has NOT presented a tax "plan". Instead, he simply plagiarized the GOBP cutl's articles of faith from Ayn Rand. The "plan" itself is nothing but lies and phony projections for the future that assume events that have historically never happened (his unemployment and GDO projections). He will kill Medicare as we know it and will continue to dole out worthless tax cuts for the 1%. In other words, his "plan" is tax cuts for the filthy rich, benefit cuts for everyone else. Paul "The Undertaker" Ryan, along with his fellow GOBP cult members, must have a political deathwish to be pushing this toxic garbage.

Budget? Obama cares about the budget almost as much he cares about getting congressional approval for military action in foreign lands. Obama is a puppet of the UN and the global banks.

For the 99%, there is no RED and Blue, just a very huge mess to overcome after the Republicans left Obama to clean up their crap after eight years. Most unemployed people in this country are Not lazy or freeloaders counter to the idiots on the right claiming that!

The economy is moving in the right direction No Thanks to the Republicans in Congress that have openly said "Making Obama a – one term president" – is their number one goal..!

Name One Thing that they have done besides Block every piece of legislation from the Democrats effort to make progress for everyone during the last 3 years.

NO. IT depends upon objective FACTS, not wishy-washy "oh, whatever your opinion is is just dandy and can't be challenged." FACT: Stimulus...we;ve done it numerous times throughout history. FACT: Heritage Foundation pushed the health care mandate, as did many conservatives in tghe 90s, and the Dems incorporating it into the ACA was in fact a step to the right and a compromise in terms of the public option/single payer that the Dems shoudl've been pushing for and their base was demanding. FACT: Wanting gazillionaires to pay no less than the same exact effective tax rate as the middle class, instead of a wildly lower tax rate, is not radical, is not leftist and is not socialism. FACT: The managed bankruptcy of GM etc in exchange for federal funding is not socialism...nto in any way, shape or form. FACT: Much to the consernation and frustration of most liberals, Obama has glibly conuitnued the "war on terror" and supported things like the Patriot Act, the heinous treatment of Bradley Manning and drone bombing that kills innocent civilians indiscriminately. FACT: Economic policies such as extending unemployment insurance and social services to help weather a massive recession is a moderate approach that only looks liberal if held up against nonsense such as "let them eat cake" and "blah blah self-reliance and personal responsibility...let themn suffer if they can't support themselves and that'll learn 'em." FACT: Obama's administration has done nothing to your gun rights except expand them. FACT: Obama has more troops and technology on the Mexican border than has ever been there in our history. FACT: The GOP invented the Teatrolls as a means of providing themselves with the political cover to move far far far to the right in order to shift the appearance of where the "middle" lies, so that a black POTUS who was expected to be extremely centrist (and has proven to be from an objective standpoint) would thereby appear to be far to the left of the "new" center...giving the GOP/Teatrolls the opoprtunity to yammer about socialism and dredge up all the old fashioned McCarthyism they could possible muster....all so that Overton's Window would be shifted towards the right in an attempt to create such a toxic political climate that centrist solutions could be forced to become right-leaning.
