(CNN) – Following Mitt Romney's primary hat trick on Tuesday, former Republican presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty said the race is now practically "over."
"Let's face it, Mitt Romney is going to be the nominee," Pawlenty, a strong Romney backer, told Wolf Blitzer, anchor of CNN's "The Situation Room."

Just think T-Paw - It could have been you. (quitter).
If Mitt and the ultra-elite people like him paid Social Security and Medicare tax at the same rate as the people who mow his lawn, our Medicare system would not be so broke. Why should almost all of Mitt’s income be exempt from Social Security and Medicare tax when most middle class Americans pay this tax on every dime they earn?
Most people pay about 7.5% in social security and Medicare tax on their income. Mitt ONLY pays about 0.042% of his income in social security tax. Isn’t that embarrassing? He ONLY pays about 0.042% for SS and Medicare! That is less than 1/2 of one-thenth of one percent. You should be ashamed, Mitt.
THE GOP KNUCKLE DRAGGER PROBLEM:
Our Nation is so tightly divided between Blue (far Left democrates), and Red (far Right republicans) States, that if only the Blue, and Red States voted, the 2012 presidential election would be a draw. Which means the Purple (moderates & independents) Sate voters will decide the 2012 presidential election. But, some of the Purple State voters lean Left, and some lean Right. This means that a small percentage of undecided voters in the Purple States will decide the 2012 presidential election (the Purple State voter information is out there, do your research). That is why the Obama campaign will bar no expenses to win over the women's vote....whereas; the GOP Knuckle Draggers (limbaugh/santorum type) seem to alienate women at will. Be aware, there is a 1000% chance, the Democrates will submit a stimulus package "purposely designed" to favor women's needs, and a 1000% chance the GOP Knuckle Draggers will dismiss this stimulus package forthwith.
The good news is that no matter who wins the GOP race, none of them can defeat President Obama. Yes we can, Yes we should & yes we will re-elect him in November 2012.
It’s halftime. Both teams are in their locker room discussing what they can do to win this game in the second half.
It’s halftime in America, too. People are out of work and they’re hurting. And they’re all wondering what they’re going to do to make a comeback. And we’re all scared, because this isn’t a game.
The people of Detroit know a little something about this. They almost lost everything. But we all pulled together, now Motor City is fighting again.
I’ve seen a lot of tough eras, a lot of downturns in my life. And, times when we didn’t understand each other. It seems like we’ve lost our heart at times. When the fog of division, discord, and blame made it hard to see what lies ahead.
But after those trials, we all rallied around what was right, and acted as one. Because that’s what we do. We find a way through tough times, and if we can’t find a way, then we’ll make one.
All that matters now is what’s ahead. How do we come from behind? How do we come together? And, how do we win?
Detroit’s showing us it can be done. And, what’s true about them is true about all of us.
This country can’t be knocked out with one punch. We get right back up again and when we do the world is going to hear the roar of our engines.
Yeah, it’s halftime America. And, our second half is about to begin.
Latter Day Bush
Mitt Romney / Condoleezza Rice
Bring back the good ol days 2012 .
@Richard that's because the system in this country is geared toward the very wealthy who have everything and not so much for struggling people. The last 20-30 years the past administrations and congresses (From 97th Congress all the way to the 112th Congress the current crop) have set up the system to benefit the wealthy so they can do real well. Till there is real consensus with both political and business leaders to start helping the struggling poor, you will not see any progress on this. If Romney gets to be our president the GOP will have their fantasies fulfilled and the final nail to the coffin of the American dream will be full circle. The GOP establishment has been thirsting for that power since they lost it in 2007. I may not care too much for Obama either, but at least with a Democratic President in the White House, there will be some kind of balance. I think Romney is a smart man, but I just do not know him well enough to where I feel I can trust him.
The divisive Santorum will more than likely continue with his efforts to run Religion as a Third Party.
Just hook em up to lie detector devices throughout the primaries and presidential debate! Or better yet put em in formula 1 cars at the hungaroring for 20 laps, the winner can be president. Obviously much of the "government" including "barry" belong to satans a team. You KNOW thats right. Spiritual wickedness in high places. Fret not over evil doers in due time they will reap their reward! Your welcome
Anyone but barry means anyone but barry
Womnen in the General Election will not vote for anything and/anybody GOP.
Romney mowed over, with difficulty, the two GOP straw men. Let's see how he does with his stiff demeanor against one of the finest orators we have had for a President in living memory.
Pawlenty, the man who should be in the position mitten is in right now, but his lack of courage doomed him. They thinks, that drill baby drill, and spewing more artificial carbon in the atmosphere, choking the earth, is the way to go. The earth white blood cells, which is mother nature will fight you. Not even bush have the so called trickle down mentality that Romney has, because this is all Romney knows, and that is to resolve the week to build up the strong. The problem is, the week is living flesh and blood, and not a company.
If the race is over Obama has won.
