FULL STORY

One of the "good guys" who was crucified during the 1972 Presidential campaign for his anti-Vietnam views. Republicans torched this gentle man for being "UnAmerican." He lost decisively to one of the most paranoid Presidents in our nation's history. And McGovern was a WWII fighter pilot. Just the beginning of what would be a Republican Party whose views were and still are today, out of touch with reality. My prayers go out to Senator McGovern and his family. A true Patriot who served his country with dignity and honor
Get Well!
An honorable Gentleman who served his country in war and peace.
All the best to him.
I was moved when he prayed with Jesse Jackson and renounced his rascist past
Prayers and good thoughts for such a wonderful man.
