(CNN) - Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who has long been an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama, used scathing language in a tweet Saturday to condemn the president's remarks about the Supreme Court last week.
"Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law," Grassley wrote, using typical shorthand for the social networking website.

Responding to the message, Obama campaign senior strategist David Axelrod, himself a prolific tweeter who often engages critics of the president, blasted the Iowa senator.
"Heads up, Sen. Grassley. I think a 6-year-old hijacked your account and is sending out foolish Tweets just to embarrass you!" Axelrod wrote.
Obama last Monday was asked about measures his administration was taking in the event the United States Supreme Court determines his health care law is unconstitutional. The high court heard oral arguments on the law in late March. Obama said such a decision would be "unprecedented."
"I'm confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress," the president said.

What Grassley doesn't want to admit is that Justice Thomas is sleeping with a Lobbyist that is against the Healthcare bill...until the Supreme Court upholds the common sense standard of 'conflict of interest rules', we should not even respect the Court ..... Think about it....Members of the Court do not even believe in non-bias objective opinion.. In other words, Scalia and Thomas should never have been at anti-healthcare rallies, as they are members of an objective (not anymore) court.....I hope Mrs. Thomas goes to Florida for the RNC Convention and then gets attacked by the Al Qaeda secret operatives (that are planning to attack the convention)..Would there be a better way of ending Jeb Bush's political career than having an Al Qaeda sleeper agent kill a Republican at the convention/claiming "stand your ground" and getting away from with it? - that is the law signed by Jeb Bush.

Sen. Grassley, like so many others, have outlived their usefulness. He is a prime candidate and reason for term limits!! The utter disrespect for the President, and the Office of the President, is disgusting. He should keep his mouth shut and stay off Twitter, lest he utter more STUPID remarks. I have lost all respect for the Supreme Court when they selected GWB as president. And then Citizens United was another straw. They have no credibility any more in my eyes and President Obama was justified in his remarks. The Supreme court is just another mouthpiece for the wealthy and the corporations. Sad, so sad. We the people have no voice in our country.

Grassley calling Obama something doesn't matter. Bush really was stupid (it was self-evident). Obama is smart and dedicated (which other president tried to address healthcare, killed Osama, and has successfully dug out of a recession)? Calling Obama something is a reflection on Grassley, not on Obama. Frankly, I am reading this, and thinking, Grassley is an idiot.

This is disgusting! Not because one man has an opinion of another man (Free speech baby!). No, it's disgusting because we elect LADIES and GENTLEMEN to office because the lot of us aren't as polished. And these Ladies and Gentlemen are supposed to be stewards of getting things done for the American people as a whole. They are supposed to RISE above ignorance, intolerance, and prejudice and act as a beacon of light, not just to the American public but to the world that looks to us as the Leader of all free nations (and no PresO has not screwed that up – the world stage loves him) that uses civil obedience and reason/laws to protect the meek/weak etc. Grassly, WIlson, the head noding Supreme Court Justice, Tea Partyers, FOX News, etc are tearing it to shreds in a matter of 3 shorts years. It was once said, "we must all hang together or most assuredly we will hang seperately." I may not have voted the man in but I'd be doggoned if I show my b u t t and ignorance because I disagree. RESPECT THE OFFICE!

The Supreme Court deserves to be criticized a lot more that what has been said to date! They have shifted from determining what is and isn't constitutional to making judgements based on politics. Shame on them!!!
