Grassley calls Obama 'stupid' on Twitter

(CNN) - Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who has long been an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama, used scathing language in a tweet Saturday to condemn the president's remarks about the Supreme Court last week.

"Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law," Grassley wrote, using typical shorthand for the social networking website.

Responding to the message, Obama campaign senior strategist David Axelrod, himself a prolific tweeter who often engages critics of the president, blasted the Iowa senator.

"Heads up, Sen. Grassley. I think a 6-year-old hijacked your account and is sending out foolish Tweets just to embarrass you!" Axelrod wrote.

Obama last Monday was asked about measures his administration was taking in the event the United States Supreme Court determines his health care law is unconstitutional. The high court heard oral arguments on the law in late March. Obama said such a decision would be "unprecedented."

"I'm confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress," the president said.

November 8, 2011 – President Obama INSULTED Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel and said this, "...You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you...”

April 14, 2011 – President Obama INSULTED Republican Congressman Paul Ryan and called him, "...Un-American..."

July 23, 2009 – President Obama INSULTED Police Officer Crowley in Massachusetts, "...they acted stupidly..."

    ------–

Netanyahu: Sounds true. Here is a guy who lectured and wagged his finger at the POTUS.

Ryan: It was said in reference to to his budget not him personally.

Crowley: It was stupid. The guy was in his house. Cops have to act under the law.

    Typical GOP inventions.

Where do these republican representatives get off on calling anyone, especially the President, stupid. They had eight years to put us in the mess we are in now and they expect a miracle fix in less than four? Get over yourselves, your not that important or bright. Republicans should remember the Dixie Chick fallout when they said they were embarrassed that the President was from Texas. What you said is much worse.

    Obama insulted people many times.

He insulted McCain, "put lipstick on pig".

He insulted special people, "I am playing bowling better than Special Olympics."

He was on Twitter responding. Twitter only allows so many characters in the input mode. All of you who are criticizing Grassley ought to put on your big boy pants, and realize that it is indeed Obama who is acting stupidly.
He is not who you think he is.

To put it bluntly, Obama's challenge to the Supreme Court was a massive blunder. And he called himself a Constitutional Professor? Yeah, well we know that was not truthful. Now I truly don't believe that Obama is a complete idiot, but on this specific instance Grassley was correct. Any first year law student knows the history and capability of the Supreme Court.

It's now clear, the republican are in opposite land.

Whatever people think of them, they immediately try to peg on Obama.

It comes off as unpatriotic, petulant and preverse.

Grassely should have been voted out a long time ago. He is a senile old man who has no place on the political stage. He is nothing but a clown.

The republicans call associate themselves as christians & values all the time. Calling a President stupid. Sir I believe you do not respect your parents nor even people you govern. I don't even think you like yourself. You are fool of hate and anger. What ever you he is your President has been your president for almost 4 years. If you don't like –tough. He is a compassionate president I have ever known. On top of all very smart.

The age of respect & normal discourse has now been buried by the GOP, the Devils henchmen in the form of Grassley & his ilk have been let off the leash to say whatever comes to their fevered brains. The GOP are showing the world what a mindless bunch of ignorent & disrespectful dolts they are, would we let our kids speak in such terms? Too bad, Grassley is Americas only surviving brain donor.

Make no mistake – Republicans, especially in the "red states" know their base. Statesmanship is a sign of weakness in that good "Christian" environment. They prefer fear-mongering and bigotry.

Right wingers are such hypocrites. When Bush made a big deal about activist judges not one GOPer blinked. When Gingrich recently stated that any judge that he deems an activist should be hauled in front of Congress, by force if necessary, not one GOPer stood up and said he is insane. But when Obama makes a comment that he is confident that the Supreme Court will not overturn a law the right wing nuts go crazy.

What kind of example are these leaders setting for the young people of this nation? We must learn to respect each other regardless if we disagree.

One after another, these GOP bigots "distinguish" themselves with crass, disrespecful language and constant absurdities. To disrespect the office of the president by a US Senator is simply shameful and the man should be impeached. I am certain his nasty noteriety will result in someone digging up his dirt or at least his academic record.

Chuck Grassley must be trying to position himself for the VP position. Romney is looking for a moron who will just take orders and say anything that Romney tells him to. Chuck Grassley calling anyone stupid is the pot calling the kettle black. No pun intended.

Yes you have. Think Bush. He went to HAAAArrrRVARD!!!
Also, Obama's own professors came out and bascially called him dumb for essentially misleading the country when saying SCOTUS does not have the right to overturn legislation passed in Congress and never had before. Give that our genius POTUS is fr Haaaaarrrrvard, was the editor of the schools Law Review, and a supposed "constitutional professor" you would think Obama would know better. I mean afterall he went to Haaaaaarrrrvard. No one fr Haaaaarrrvard is that stupid right?

President Obama has endured name-calling, and racial slurs from day one in the Oval Office. Grassley calling the President "stupid" is nothing new. If anyone has proven their stupidity and ignorance, it's the GOP.
