(CNN) – Don't expect Newt Gingrich to join the Mitt Romney administration, should he capture the White House in the next election.
The long-shot Republican presidential candidate on Thursday said he would enthusiastically support Romney, if he nabs the nomination, but that he would "probably not" serve in his cabinet.

"If the choice does end up being Romney versus Obama I could be very, very enthusiastic for Romney," Gingrich told WILM radio in Wilmington, Delaware. "I think that's a huge choice, but I've had a very good life doing a lot of fun things."
The former House speaker has vowed to remain in the Republican primary through the convention in August, despite trailing significantly in the delegate count and in polling across the board.
If or when he loses the GOP presidential nomination, Gingrich said he will spend time with his wife, Callista, his grandchildren, play golf and happily advise the next Republican administration.
"Callista's got me into being a really bad golfer. I'd like to move up from bad to mediocre," Gingrich said.
"I'm very happy to be an adviser. I did a lot of that in the Bush administration, both on health care and on national security," he added.
Gingrich's ego will force him to face up to this, another lie. He would jump at the invitation to be a man of power again. As always, he remains a legend in his own mind.
Nah, he can make more money advising Big Oil or Big Pharma.
There will never be a "Romney cabinet", Newt, so no problem with that.
Let me be clear. There is no war on women. We just demand to be treated as equals...at work, at home, at the doctor's office, etc... We thought this was cleared up years ago, but we were mistaken so we must stand up for our rights yet again. Men, if you don't want your employer or insurance company or pharmacist to poke around in your nether regions or your psyche before determining if they can with a clear conscious issue you a prescription for Viagra or allow you to have a vasectomy, they join us in telling them to leave our personal health and family planning decisions to us women. Remember, many of us women contribute half of the family income. If we are paid equally, the entire family benefits. This is not a war on women, this is denying Americans equal rights based on having certain body parts. What happens to us affects the entire family. It may be a war on families, but not just a war on women.

Then why didn't you stick with that instead of making a complete ash out of yourself???
Obama 2012 – The Only Trusted Way Forward!!
don't worry, Obama 2012
Cabinet shmabinet. Newtered belongs locked in a trunk under the basement stairs.
Any jobs for cabinet of fat or triple chins? Tuba playing?
How to cheat on not one but two wives secretary?
This is the most delusional man in politics
Hillary Rosen was right about Anne Romney. It is ridiculous for the Romney's and the RNC and CNN to prewsume that Anne Romney can speak for American women on their economic.struggles from personal experience. What she knows is from what she has learned through reading and listening, not from the life she has lead. I think that Anne and Mitt Romney, the DNC and CNN owe Ms. Rosen a big aplolgy. Mitt caused this for another of his ridiculous comments.
Probably better that way.
Romney's cabinet will be based in Salt Lake City.
Newt Gingrich needs to convert to Mormonism if he wants the job.
Latter Day Bush
No worries Newt about getting a job in Romney's Cabinet as there will never be one to begin with.
Yeah, like Michelle Obama can relate to middle-class women. You think she's ever done housework? You forget that they and most of their inner circle are all millionaires or better. I am not a woman and don't have to be in order to know the economic struggles American women are going through. They pay the same prices at the pump and grocery store as men. It is a ridiculous assertion that one can't make observations based on what is plainly evident, unless one is in the exact same position.
The remark was aimed at Mitt, not Ann. He's the one representing her as being a good advisor on women and economic issues. She is not, and cannot be representative of 99.9% of women. She is not even representative of stay-at-home moms. She is a very, very rich stay-at-home mom.
Neither Mitt nor Ann has EVER been poor, or even middle class, for one minute of their lives. How any American can believe these people will represent the interests of most Americans is beyond me.
Exactly which cabinet position is Gingrich qualified to run? NONE
The only cabinet that Gingrich would be interested in Is the KITCHEN CABINET
