(CNN) – If President Obama was a car, what kind of car would he be and why?
That's the question Resurgent Republic, a conservative polling and advocacy group, asked independent voters in Virginia and Colorado recently. The focus group members all voted for Obama in 2008, but are undecided heading into this year's general election.

Out of gas.
Ford Pinto
Definitely a BMW.
Over rated, over priced and a maintenance bill that runs into the TRILLIONS.
Excalibur. One of a kind.
Unlike Aiden above, I owned a Ford Pinto in my youth. One of the best cars I ever owned and it did not quit until it had 175,000 miles on it. It is probably still parked in Flomaton, Alabama, where it finally gave up the ghost.
In short, a darn good investment for the money I spent on it.
He is the REAL Cadillac, Sharp, Classy, Guts, Handles Corners Furociously with a great amount of Style
A solar powered car that runs on algea at night. Until then..., let him walk.
Michelle Obama would be a Maybach, yet another one of a kind.
@ RealityBites I agree BMW
I own a 528i BMW best car I ever had , never had a problem
UFO no other president on planet Earth in his class.
PT Cruiser. It's fun, sporty, has umph!!!!!
Humm,
An Edsel.
BMW well engineered, reliable, standard-bearer, innovative, classy, keeps value, something people like being around.
Obama is the Edsel; it was promoted by a top-rated television specials (lame stream media), however the Edsel never gained popularity with contemporary Americans, sold poorly, lost millions of dollars in manufacture and marketing.
The Edsel was one of the 50 Worst Cars of All Time, like Obama; one of the worst president of All Time.
@ Aiden / Ford Pinto
Unfortunately, under Obama America is crashing an burning.
Yugo.
Ferrari
It appears that the GOP will have to stick with their Tucker Torpedo, Mittens of Caymen.
Gremlin.
Obama would have to be a truck, a BIG truck with an extended bed.., needed to carry around all that crap he dishs out to his progressively mindless followers.
Fair is Fair selected
Yugo.
------------–
Good choice. The Yugo was a jobs creator. That vehicle put millions of people to work at a crucial moment in eastern European history. Wasn't the best car in the world, but it wasn't trying to be, either. You must have known someone who owned one. I sure did.
He is TWO KINDS : the engine is state of the art PRIUS that is forward thinking and good for the earth/ Body : the external shell is hard to define but possibly a jaguar – classy , refined and elegant . ( Many of us LOVE our president ! Hope he reads a few KIND remarks here from the middle class people who see his efforts on our behalf ! ) GOBAMA12!!!!
Funny, in spite of all its criticisms and money loss, the Edsel is today a collector's item, a rarity, a model for the design of many (sports) cars and such...
Too good to be understood at its own time is that what you guys are saying?
Personally i think that he'll be like one of these cars that you can afford if you save some money and do some serious research about cost/beneficts...
Don't know, a Ford maybe?
A smart car.
Looks good on paper, but a death trap in reality.
@ Rudy -
Nope. I selected Yugo because it was a dismal failure in the US.
