Pro-Obama super PAC to hit Romney on taxes

Washington (CNN) - An independent super PAC that's backing President Barack Obama's re-election bid said Monday it's going up with a television commercial and on-line video that highlight's what the group calls the "anti-middle class" tax policy of all but certain Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

"His own tax return from last year reveals he made $21 million, yet paid a lower tax rate than many middle class families," the narrator in the spot said. "Now, Romney's proposing a huge new one hundred fifty thousand dollar tax-cut for the wealthiest one percent while cutting Medicare and education for us. Mitt Romney. If he wins, we lose."

Priorities USA Action will run the ad on television in Florida, Ohio, Iowa and Virginia, all considered crucial battleground states in November's presidential election, according to a source with knowledge of the ad buy, who said the release of the spot is timed to Tax Day.

The source said the spot's the first part of a multi-million dollar campaign that will run on television and on the web.

Romney spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg the president's "liberal allies" are trying to "distract Americans from serious economic issues with a series of political stunts and sideshows."

"President Obama realizes that he can't campaign on his failed policies and abysmal economic agenda, so he is willing to do and say anything to change the subject," Henneberg said in an email. "Middle class families are smart enough to see through the President's dishonesty, and they are ready to replace him with a leader like Mitt Romney who can turn around our struggling economy."

I love it!! the Pres is demanding that Romney release past tax filings... I would say, "Lets have a release party.. You bring your Doctoral Thesis and birth certificate and I will bring my past tax filings.".. Romney could show up and Obama would bail... Romney looks transparent and Obama looks.... well ... like Obama...

Like I have allways said romney is a snake in the grass, he want what he wants. Not what the most of Americans want. He just says what people want to hear where he is at the time. Can't trust romney with this great country.

Don't we have bigger problems than Romney being successful and Obama & Buffet not knowing the difference between income tax and capital gains tax?
