Washington (CNN) – Her birthday may be Monday, but some of the biggest gifts Ann Romney brings in will come the day after.
Mrs. Romney is the guest of honor at a birthday fundraising event Tuesday in New York City for the campaign, hosted by Donald Trump's wife, Melania.

Trump spokesman Michael Cohen said 400 people are expected at the event in the couple's residence inside Trump Tower. Cohen said the event sold out in a week, and is expected to bring in "well in excess" of $600,000.
Cohen said Trump will stop by the fundraiser to wish Mrs. Romney a happy birthday. He said Trump expects to host another fundraiser for the campaign at Trump Tower once Romney officially clinches the nomination.
First lady Michelle Obama will also be raising cash on Tuesday. She will speak at a Democratic National Committee event in Nashville, followed by two DNC fundraisers in Pittsburgh.
Tuesday will be a busy political day in Pittsburgh, as Romney holds a midday campaign roundtable at a community center in suburban Bethel Park.

I applaud her for being a Mother who does not work out of the home. The statement was true just wasn't stated in more positive way. The issue was then blown way out of proportion by the campaign and more importantly by the media. People need to be more selective in what they perceive to be a wrong committed against the candidate or his wife.

I don't see any poor people offering to throw her a party......if one did I'm sure they would have turned up their noses at them. Money, money, money. I'm sure Ann's toughest job was deciding who to hire to take care of the house and kids. If you notice not once has she said she actually raised the kids by herself. It's always been "I'm a stay at home mom and it's hard work." How many maids and nannies Ann? How many did it take?
