Washington (CNN) – Her birthday may be Monday, but some of the biggest gifts Ann Romney brings in will come the day after.
Mrs. Romney is the guest of honor at a birthday fundraising event Tuesday in New York City for the campaign, hosted by Donald Trump's wife, Melania.

Trump spokesman Michael Cohen said 400 people are expected at the event in the couple's residence inside Trump Tower. Cohen said the event sold out in a week, and is expected to bring in "well in excess" of $600,000.
Cohen said Trump will stop by the fundraiser to wish Mrs. Romney a happy birthday. He said Trump expects to host another fundraiser for the campaign at Trump Tower once Romney officially clinches the nomination.
First lady Michelle Obama will also be raising cash on Tuesday. She will speak at a Democratic National Committee event in Nashville, followed by two DNC fundraisers in Pittsburgh.
Tuesday will be a busy political day in Pittsburgh, as Romney holds a midday campaign roundtable at a community center in suburban Bethel Park.

He said, that while governor of Massachusetts, he proposed raising the amount of work required of parents on welfare so that they could “have the dignity of work.” Here's the quote:
“I wanted to increase the work requirement. I said, for instance, that even if you have a child 2 years of age, you need to go to work. And people said, ‘Well that’s heartless.’ And I said, ‘No, no, I’m willing to spend more giving day care to allow those parents to go back to work. It’ll cost the state more providing that daycare, but I want the individuals to have the dignity of work."
So if you can afford to, being a stay-at-home mom is hard work and valuable, but if you're a mom receiving welfare, you're not working and should therefore leave your children in the care of others so you can have the "dignity of work."
Even on motherhood, Mittens is a flip-flopper. This man will do anything to get elected ... another GW Bush rightwing puppet, if there ever was one. Only a fool would vote Republican in November.

I am surprised Ann Romney accepted Trump's birthday party gift/present. My respect for her just evaporated.
I thought Trump had become an Independent and was threatening to run as one because he thought all of the candidates were not adequate and capable of winning. That was when he was mad because they blackballed his pathetic attemp at running a debate. Hmmm. Another flip flopper I guess. Remember when Trump was pretending that he was going to run last year and he said he had positive proof that Pres. Obama was not born in Hawaii and he was going to present it to the public the next week. What happened? It was priceless when the President smacked him down about the whole birther issue at the correspondent's dinner. It was pretty amazing how the President kept his cool and kept everyone laughing that night, knowing that earlier in the day he had OK'd the Bin Laden raid and it was beginning to be executed at that very moment. Now that's statesmanship. McCain, Leiberman and most Republicans keep publicly saying the US should invade all over the place while the President really knows what is going on and is making intelligent decisions with the people who really understand and can be counted on. He never plays his hand in public. It doesn't seem that having Trump's endorsement really carries a lot of clout anymore. Maybe with the base but definitely not with independents.
Keep it up Mitt, every action you take, every word you and Ann speak pushes you futher from your dream of living in the White House. I've never seen anyone less clueless than this couple. You'd think they'd hired better advisers to shape their image. This is not working, the American people get what they are. They get the Romneys don't get the average American and will never work for our interests, only their's and their 1% friends.

Yeah, Ann's a hardworking "Mom"; it's a lot of stress to keep up with the nannies, gardeners, butlers, maids, 9 houses, etc.
What was the latest thing we heard - they are building an elevator from their multi-car garage up to the other levels of the house? And that Ann understands Detroit because she drives two Cadillacs (among her many other cars probably - am sure the Romney have multiple cars in all of their different home locations).
But of course, no time to get the tax returns filed on time. How can any of you be thinking seriously of voting for a clown like Mittens? Really?
