Nugent threatens death if Obama wins in November

(CNN) – Rocker Ted Nugent did little to quell his reputation as a conservative firebrand through comments at the National Rifle Association convention when he took aim (pun intended) at high profile members of the Barack Obama administration and voiced support for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

The Romney-backer, musician, activist, NRA board member and tea party figure encouraged an NRA audience over the weekend to help oust the current administration.

"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," Nugent said, according to a video posted on YouTube by the NRA. "If you can't go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil America hated administration, I don't even know what you're made out of."

He accused the government of "wiping its ass with the Constitution you're living under a rock some place" and labeled members of the Obama administration, including the vice president, attorney general and secretary of state "criminals."

"We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Am I, any questions?" Nugent said.

This is not the first time Nugent has vividly espoused his views. In fact, the NRA has a section of its website devoted to some of his statements, including profanity-laced comments and threats directed at then candidates Obama and Hillary Clinton during the last election cycle.

Responding to the comments from Nugent, who announced his support for the former Massachusetts governor in March, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said "Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from."

"Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil," she added.

Saul's reaction followed a call from Democratic National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to denounce the remarks. Wasserman Schultz sent out an email to supporters on Tuesday to solicit donations off the comments she called "despicable, deplorable and completely beyond the pale."

"Romney's surrogates should know better than to rally the troops with outrageous rhetoric that is unacceptable in our political debate," the Florida representative said in a statement. "Mitt Romney must condemn Nugent's violent and hateful rhetoric immediately, as it has no place in our political discourse or this campaign."

If Romney gets elected, Ted will become a Mormon Missionary. If Obama wins, the SS are going to be making a call and Ted might disappear mysteriously.

Thanks Debbie! Now I got go buy another hypocrisy meter because you just blew the one had, in fact you blow'd up good as they say.

Nugent is a surrogate, but Maher, Lee, Behar, etc are all entertainers? Or is this just a new smoke screen to cover up the Rosen explosion.

Of course this is so transparent that I expect Debbie will next call this part of the stimulus package, making sure we all have to go out and buy new hypocrisy meters, this time I'll look for one that goes to 11, no make 15

I hope the best of the best in uniform have information on all of the NRA MEMBERSHIPS Especially those in attendance, when this "poopu" attention seeking brain, made this treasonous remarks. The secret service should keep keen eye on all of them. It is unfortunate that the Republican party cannot run a clean campaign without resulting to name calling. What a shame.

Of course Obama does not control the unions, they control him. The trial lawyers control Obama. George Soros and his network of organizations control Obama and the DNC, and every elected DEM official. If they don't do their bidding, they get primaried. Bill Maher is the perfect spokesman for the Left because they can always say, " Well, Bill's a comedian, he has nothing to do with the campaign": How many commedians have huge properties in at least 2 states, have HBO shows where they can throw out their unfiltered thoughts to the public?

Ted, the voices in your head are laughing at you,
    not with you.
Try not to get your guitar mixed up with your gun.
You are too old to wear a loin cloth.
All of that raw meat is bad for you.
Those men in the dark suites would like to have a word with you.

Ted is on the edge of losing it. Ted, better stay in the "fenced" in farm where you stalk and kill your animals. There has been a huge increase in the number of "hate" groups since Obama election (did we elect a black person) and uncle Ted appears to have started his own group. Expect more tea party wing nuts to go down fighting. Scary

Sure....it will be denounced just as soon as the Obama Administration denounces the exact same hateful vile rhetoric coming from Hollywood, DemocratUnderground, Daily Kos, and Michael Moore.

    **crickets**

    Yea...that's what I thought. I'll allow it.

@ReallY!!?, every single person you cited has criticized Obama vigorously: I guess you were too busy listening to your rightie affirmation network to notice. The displeasure from the Left with Obama is because they think he's been too willing to compromise, get it? I don't have to agree with Obama to support him, I don't have to like him at all: the alternative is far worse, and deep down you know it.

This kind of rhetoric is borderline treasonous. I mean honestly, if you don't like the president you are welcome to voice your opinion about it. That is exactly what makes america great. But threats of violence? Polls indicate about half the country, a little more then half actually, are leaning to vote for Obama. Even if he loses the election, that's about 50% of your countrymen who believe in the president, about 50% that elected him democratically into the office. Why is it the liberal 50% are always "un-American" and the conservative -minority- the only ones that know what America is about? Honestly, if anyone is un-American or deserves their head lopped off its all the ignorant fools (on both sides) who make this a battle about red vs. blue, instead of the red-white and blue we share together.

Sure, but it's ok for Obama to take $1M from Bill Maher and the left wing establishment is given a pass on implicity condoning his hateful rhetoic? I saw Wasserman, Axelrod and a host of other Democratic figure heads go out of their way to try to minimize some of the things Maher has said and justify keeping his $1M donation to the Obama camp. I'm not saying I agree with Nugent and I repudiate his statements but, hypocrisy goes both ways on this issue for sure. Dems shouldn't be so quick with their feigned outrage on this one.

I've been a performer for many years. I've performed some of Nugent's music for decades. After listening to this nut I have decided to cease supporting his music. Ted you're embarrassing!

No one has admonished Maher for the Palin comments, not publicly at least. And no, saying that you don't support his vile comments is not admonishment. When his donations are refused, and HBO subscriptions dive because of his show, then we will have progress.

There are two types of criminals in the Republican Party: there are the Ted Nugent cowboy criminals who really do want to kill the people they disagree with; and there are the corporate criminals like Dick Cheney and the Koch Brothers, who use the cowboy criminal issues (gays, guns, and god) to scare people into voting against their own interests and instead for the corporate criminal interests. Reasonable people aren't going to convince either group of these criminals to do the right things. So, it is important to keep educating as many folks as possible about their real interests and what is right. If Mitt Romney is elected, he will be beholden to both of these groups of criminals. (In fact, he is essentially a card-carrying member of the corporate criminals.) It's funny (not really) how we seem to be heading for a re-run of the 2000 election - and we know how that turned out. Don't mourn, organize.
