Rubio backs Jeb Bush for VP

(CNN) – Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, who consistently makes the short list of potential GOP vice-presidential candidates, on Sunday offered a ringing endorsement of Jeb Bush for the No.2 spot.

Bush, the former Florida governor, recently said he hoped Rubio would accept a potential offer from presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to serve on the ticket, and Rubio returned the compliment.

"Well that's very nice of Jeb. I hope he'll say yes if future President Romney asks him," the senator from Florida said of his political mentor in an interview set to air on CNN's "State of the Union." "I think he'd be a fantastic vice president."

Despite continual questions regarding his political future, Rubio vowed to stay out of the "veepstakes" chatter going forward, given that the official process is now in place.

Romney appointed Beth Myers last week to head his search for the individual who will complete the GOP ticket heading into the November general election.

"The last thing he needs are those of us in the peanut gallery to be saying what we would or would not do," Rubio told CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley. "I know that Mitt Romney's going to make a great choice for vice president."

The first term senator and tea party favorite on Thursday said he would reject a vice-presidential proposal, adding his focus is on his Senate tenure. He and Romney are scheduled to campaign together on Monday.

Even if Jeb Bush was the most qualified person on the planet, I bet Democrats and Republicans alike would flee from the ticket on election day simply because of the name Bush.

Just crown Jeb as the monarch and we can have a King with the crown passed down to the children, and not bother with a presidential election. He had be King Jeb I. No one but a Bush need apply. Anyway, we need a new war.

Any ticket with either of them fails to get my vote. I wish they'd run off hand in hand and discover each other.

If you have noticed Marco in Crowley's interview, he's completely tensed when talking about the Veep process. He knows that he is seriously goin thru the wetting process and he has already started swallowing his words earlier that he wouldn't be the candidate for Veep. Cheezzee pol! As Hannity says, Marco is the anointed Veep and Romney can 'possibly' win this due to his Veep the anointed one. Marco doesn't like one bit about Jeb saying he is ready to be the Veep. His body language was very very different to what he was saying to Crowley:)

"I insist, after you". No no, I insist, after YOU." I love watching these two ninnies doing the Alphonse and Gaston routine. Let's face it, neither of them wants to be associated with Mr. Smoothie's run for the roses.

Anyone that uses the word "Truth" in their screen name, doesn't tell the truth, and wouldn't know the truth if it walked up to them and kicked them in the teeth.

Yes, the Bush boys have done so much for this country, and Florida, and Texas. It just wouldn't be the same, corrupt, oil-puppet show without them.

Someone buy these writers a dictionary. "Well that's very nice of Jeb. I hope he'll say yes if future President Romney asks him. I think he'd be a fantastic vice president." is not exactly "a ringing endorsement of Jeb Bush".

I think "offhandedly supportedly Jeb Bush when prompted" is a bit more accurate.

Why the need to inflate everything? "outrage", "blasted", "scathing review". Come on people, if you're going to be a national news reported, learn so accurate adjectives.

At "Truth": You're about as "truthful" as Fox Noise. We all know you don't really hold those opinions because you can't really be that ignorant. You're just one of those who likes to get attention. Well, guess you got mine this time, but enough of that. Fox misses you, go back; you simply are so out of touch if what you spew is real to you, it's scary. Put on some Nugent tunes and rock out. btw....Christie is an oink oink, just to put it mildly. Do you live in NJ and have any clue about him other than what you see on TV? My cousins do and it's not good.

To "The Real Truth and Nothing But the Real Truth":

We the people must recognize that the U.S. is now a facist nation; both democrats and republicans have been legally bought by wealthy individuals and corporations (secured via supreme court "Citizens United" decision – Feb 2010). The treasonous simply do not have the best interests of this nation in mind.

The truth is, we the people have been getting fleeced for a long, long time. Romney will not be much better than the globalist puppet in office now.

Jeb won't be VP. Everyone knows the name Bush is the kiss of death. It will force even the most clueless to think twice and remember what the last one did to this country. It will be Rubio, they NEED the Hispanic (Latino) vote. We all know Robmey loves to pander.

You are about ready to elect the brother of the guy who about single handedly brought capitalism to the brink of collapse world wide? I cannot believe that the race is so close this year. It just goes to show that about half the country is clueless to what happened to them.
