Obama 'slow jams' the news

(CNN) – It's an honor that - until now - had been reserved for NBC News anchor Brian Williams: "slow jamming" the news with Jimmy Fallon.

But the "Late Night" host was joined by a new, and temporary, partner on Tuesday.

President Barack Obama joined Fallon for a so-called "slow jam" in an appearance taped while visiting the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

"What we've said is simple: now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people," Obama said, with the jazz tones behind him.

"Awww yeah, you should listen to the president," Fallon crooned. "Or as I like to call him, The Preezy of the United Steezy."

"Things were heating up inside Congress' chambers, behind all those closed doors," he continued.

Asked later in the interview for his impression of the likely GOP presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, Obama said he knows him, "but we're not friends."

"He seems like somebody who cares deeply about his family, and his wife is lovely," Obama said.

Obama also spoke on the recent scandal involving Secret Service agents, praising the service and calling those involved with prostitutes while on a trip to Colombia "knuckleheads."

President Obama was incredible today speaking to the student at UNC-Chapel Hill. He knows how to speak and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. He is real, genuine, intelligent, and has actual solutions to restore America to a hopeful and successful future for ALL Americans.
He was hilarious on Jimmy Fallon and shows he can be human, funny, know what is current in the nation, and still maintain his dignity and character and respect as President. He is an outstanding leader, human being, and deserves to be re-elected. We deserve a real leader like President Obama who cares and works for what is best for ALL Americans – unlike Republicans who want to destroy everything that is not for the rich and corrupt corporations who buy them and their nasty slanderous false ads against Democrats. Romney lies. He cannot be trusted he has changed his positions so many times. He has no principles, no integrity, no character, no clue how We the People live or what we need nor does he care. He has led a life of privilege and had everything handed to him. He has never really worked for anything. He knows nothing about jobs (except firing people), the economy, foreign policy or how to be human.
I stand with President Obama who stands for me and ALL Americans. He is the leader we need.

Obama is putting the country's security at risk by doing full time campaigning when he should be doing his job. Does he think he is Candidate Obama rather than President Obama?

Knuckleheads. LOL. That's about how I feel about it. Women make money selling sex and men spend money on easy targets. Prostitution is the oldest job that's still around since God knows when. The only reason its illegal is because some women are forced into it and the government thinks its politically incorrect. If the sex is consensual and everyone is of age I consider it about as bad as smoking pot. Smoking pot isn't bad. Its really none of our business who o how people get it on. Its also none of the business of employers to force you to urinate in a cup so they can test it. We need to approach drugs and sex from the perspective of wanting to help people with addictions instead of throwing them in jail.

Who cares how much time Obama is on TV? Get over it already. George Washington was right. I see Romney as being sexist and and he doesn't care about the poor. Americans in general don't care much about each other.

Republican Presidents have for sure made the GOP into GO(L)P the latter equals Gaffe Out( Loud ) Party!!
So when Obama who deals with media pretty well, rarely GAFFES, and gets " hi visisbility " exposure to voters. Republicans are infuriated. Thier presidents or even Nominees can't get the same free AD effectively time. So just like the spoilt kids they either, WHIMP, COMPLAIN, DEMAND MORE balanced media or that media is biased to democrats..... now again I'm in " all this thinking makes my head hurt more. " Freedom of the press is surely an article of faith for Republican ideology along with a multitude of other constitutional freedoms so beloved and close to thier hearts.... oops only valid to and when Republicans are exercising said rights to appear on TV.
Bush clearly needed a teleprompter Ha ha!!

"the preezy of the united steezy"

I'm young and contemporary, but why?

So much Hollywood sewage run-off from the left. All mitt has to mention, throughout his campaign-
Can a regular American find a job easier than 3-4 yrs ago?
Are people working twice as hard for less money?
    Are people getting raises?
Is everyone anticipating a financially stable retirement?
    Can you refi your house?
    Can you sell your house?
Can you afford to buy a house?
What about justification for these high gas prices? Where is the money going?! Our connect, Saudi Arabia claims it can easily increase production to meet current needs.

If the president helped improve the economy in any way, he would have earned the right to run .
Deemos have no ideas for being idealists.
They have been running on empty threats and fear mongering to get votes ... E.g.," if you vote us out, minorities will have no rights, women will have no rights, what little rights gays have, will be culled, Medicare will be gone and grandma will be pushed off a cliff."
All these folks know now the dems only spew propaganda , get emotional, and bumperstick.
    It's over

Obama rocks. I haven't agreed with everything he has done. Overall I like him as a man and as president. He is down to earth and when push came to shove he has made the hard decisions. It is not an easy job. I would not want it.

Wow, Obama is really on television a lot. He golfs more than Bush did (remember how everyone made fun of Bush for that?), and he spends a lot of time on foreign trips and on vacation.

Why won't Romney go on "Meet the Press" and other programs? The conventional wisdom seems to be that his handlers are worried about what stupid, out of touch with Middle America thing he might say next. I'm beginning to believe that he is not any brighter or better on his feet than George W. Bush.

AStevetundra. What damage, where are your eyes. The guy who damaged the country ia your boy George Bush with his phony wars. Obama is doing a good job cleaning up his mess.

  17. Real America

Steventundra: how did Obama damage the country? By killing Osama Bin Laden, or by saving jobs in auto industry, or by trying to get middle class people health coverage for pre-existing conditions? Obama has done more than Bush did. Romney doesn't give a darn about middle class people with jobs.

@stevetundra, you need to warm your head some.
The skit was priceless and the interview shows us what a down to earth person our President is.
Unlike the robot "that" is running against him or will run. No ideas, no solutions, no empathy, no warmth flip flopper.

Yeah, Obama himself is doing all the damage to this country.
Not the vagina-invading, Mexican-hating, science-shunning, anti-abortion believers in creationism who want to arm everyone to the teeth while taking away their Medicade and Medicare.
    Yeah, Obama's the problem.

Obama's the reason the country's in financial ruin...why there's massive layoffs because of his antics while in congress, and in the White house...his minions have destroyed the future of this country for generations. Vote him out in November.

@stevetundra....so you claim President Obama is doing "damage"? Try giving some examples to back up your claim. Or, is this just another baseless claim from an angry, small minded republican?

Stevetundra! Where to start on your comments? You don't know the difference between then and than. You don't know that White House is two words. You don't know the difference between let's and less. And you make up facts out of thin air to criticize the President of the United States.
