11:45 a.m. ET - Gingrich has lunch at the Cherokee Street Tavern in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
1:30 p.m. ET - Gingrich visits Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy in Mooresboro, North Carolina.
2:15 p.m. ET – President Barack Obama wraps up a two-day tour of three battleground states with a stop at the University of Iowa to push for an extension of a law that cuts interest rates on a popular federal student loan program.
2:45 p.m. ET – Gingrich throws out the first pitch at Gardner Webb University Baseball Game in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
9 p.m. ET – Rep. Ron Paul of Texas holds a campus town hall meeting in El Paso, Texas.
Also Wednesday, likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney holds private fundraisers in New Jersey and New York.
