Sununu: '19 or 20' names in the VP bowl

Portsmouth, New Hampshire (CNN) – The Romney campaign is considering about 20 names for the presumptive GOP candidate's vice presidential slot, said top campaign adviser and former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu.

"I know that the bowl has about 19 or 20 little folded pieces of paper in it, and they keep shaking the bowl," Sununu told reporters in New Hampshire Monday.

Crowley: Playing politics with bin Laden

Washington (CNN) - It was probably only a matter of time - about 365 days, in fact - before the death of Osama bin Laden got into the political groundwater of 2012.

In a campaign ad for President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton praises Obama for approving the risky raid into Pakistan and suggests Mitt Romney wouldn't have.

Giuliani and Romney to team up

(CNN) – Rudy Giuliani will appear at an event with Mitt Romney on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the assault on Osama bin Laden, a campaign aide confirmed to CNN.

The death of the former al Qaeda leader is currently a political talking point between the campaigns of the former Massachusetts governor and President Barack Obama, with both sides attempting to capitalize on the one-year anniversary.

Greensboro, North Carolina (CNN) - The wife of a former campaign aide for John Edwards takes the stand Monday in a federal court in North Carolina, where she is expected to detail her role in helping conceal the one-time Democratic presidential hopeful's affair with a videographer.

Cheri Young continues her testimony from Friday. Her turn on the witness stand followed five days of testimony by her husband, considered the government's star witness against Edwards.

Biden fundraises in Missouri and Indiana

Washington (CNN) – Vice President Joe Biden heads to Missouri and Indiana Monday to raise campaign cash.

The vice president will be the center of attention at fundraisers in Kansas City, Missouri and Munster, Indiana. The Kansas City fundraiser will be a luncheon at a private residence, with ticket prices starting at $5,000 and the Munster event will also be held a private residence, with ticket prices starting at $250, an Obama re-election campaign official told CNN.

(CNN) – The Obama campaign has released a seven minute video making the case for the president’s re-election. The video reveals what appears to be a new Obama campaign motto: Forward.

In the video, the Obama campaign makes the argument that economic conditions are improving and the president’s accomplishments were possible only against the undertow of a resistant Republican party.

Clinton, Obama headline Virginia fund-raiser

(CNN) - In an appearance Sunday alongside President Barack Obama at a fund-raiser for Obama's re-election effort, former President Bill Clinton took a shot at the president’s likely Republican presidential rival, Mitt Romney.

The president has “got an opponent who basically wants to do what they did before – on steroids,” Clinton said, according to pool reports. "Which will get you the same consequences you got before, on steroids."
