Washington (CNN) – The top Republican on the House Oversight Committee is moving to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for failing to cooperate in the panel's investigation of the controversial "Operation Fast and Furious" weapons sting.
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-California, sent a 17-page memo and a draft contempt resolution to members of his committee Thursday, outlining what he argued was Justice Department's "refusal" to comply with the panel's probe to get information about the sting set up by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that allowed weapons to be purchased illegally in order to track them to senior drug cartel members.

Eric Holder, the top law enforcement officer in the federal government, refuses to obey the law. He needs to resign or be fired by Obama. Alberta Gonzales, Bush's former Atty Gen., was called upon to testify over the "wire taping" scandle and he was given special privaledge by Bush and Republicans and never testified. Holder can do the same, they know it, but again the Republicans are up to no good.

Darrell Issa is a joke and typical of the partisan Republicans who will do anything to try to cheat or steal this election. To Republicans it is a war on America.
He accused the Justice Department of a "cover-up," but indicated he was still giving the department a chance to hand over the materials.
"If they don't, then I have the support of leadership to do what we have to do," Issa said.

The GOP blocked the full extent of what the stimulus was supposed to do. The filibuster mentality and the "my way or the highway" game playing by Boehner, McConnell, Cantor etal severely curtailed all the good that was to come from that spending. This is Congressman Issa's attempts to take the onus off of him for refusing to any business that would actually benefit Americans. The longer he keeps issues like this in the news, the longer people will think he actually does the job he was elected to do.
His long term goal is to unseat President Obama and to have a Conservative president who thinks as he does. Let us any elected president will not have the same views as Congressman Issa.
Actually, much of America has contempt for the Republican-led Congress. When will these Tea Party jerks get to work creating jobs and fixing this economy. President Obama's re-election can't come fast enough. I also hope that the Republican ranks will thin too so that something can get done in the country.

Eric Holder is avoiding participation in a political witch-hunt led by the Tea Baggers in the House – the same folks who've done absolutely nothing to help the middle class or create jobs. It's interesting to note the fast and loose movement of weapons resulted from the relaxed firearms regulations – something supported by the NRA and their here "Mr. Crappy Pants Nubent" – the draft dodger.
