ON THE TRAIL: May 3, 2012

(CNN) – The candidates and their campaigns hit the trail Thursday, making stops in Virginia, California, West Virginia and Washington, D.C>

1:15 p.m. ET - Mitt Romney holds a campaign event with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and Rep. Michele Bachmann in Portsmouth, Virginia.

2:30 p.m. ET - Ron Paul holds a fundraising lunch in Rancho Cordova, California.

10:00 p.m. ET - Ron Paul holds a campus town hall meeting in Davis, California.

Also Thursday, Romney will attend a private fundraiser in Wheeling, West Virginia, and Vice President Joe Biden will appear at a fundraising event in Washington, D.C.

    This Romney person is the most unimpressive politicianthe country has seen in years.I would not let/support him in any eventof any kind. Dull,boring traits must have been named after seeing him. He might as well go back to UTAH and stay a mormon.

    say what you want about carter when he was the last president,you could go into any store in america and buy anything from cloths to washing machines and the lable would say MADE IN AMERICA, four presidents after him you can only see made in america in a museum

    If Mitt Romney picks VA Gov. Bob McDonnell, he can kiss is campaign goodbye. Not only would it be bad judgement of the worst degree, it would be a show of arrogance that he intends to do things his way and not The People's way.
