(CNN) - President Barack Obama on Friday urged high school students to e-mail, tweet, and teach their parents to tweet a message to Congress to prevent student loan interest rates from doubling on July 1.
In his continuing push to extend the current 3.4% interest rate charged on federal student loans, Obama told students at a Virginia high school that the goal is to provide all Americans with the best possible education.

Last I heard Obama hadn't taken over the colleges YET. I'm sure it is on his "to do" list though. Socialists just love to steal what belongs to others.
In 2007 gasoline was around $3.15 in Florida. In the summer of 2008, it reached $4.15 at the height of the economic meltdown. So if you only look at January 2009, it was $1.78, but people who do not have a short memory already know this.
If we make college available only to the rich, we would not have to worry about college loans, or a future for our country either.

College grads need jobs not a lower loan rate. If Obama had focused on the economy this would not be an issue. A lot of these folks are going to pay a high price for electing Obama to office initially.
