Obama’s Sunday campaign strategy meetings

Columbus, Ohio (CNN) – Approximately twice monthly on Sundays, President Barack Obama meets with a small group of senior advisers in the White House to discuss his reelection strategy, two sources with knowledge of the meetings told CNN.

Among the administration officials who gather with Obama in the Roosevelt Room are senior adviser David Plouffe, Obama’s 2008 campaign manager; counselor to the president Pete Rouse, who served as interim White House chief of staff led Obama’s Senate office; senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, a long time Obama adviser and confidant; communications director Dan Pfeiffer; and deputy chief of staff Alyssa Mastromonaco.

Reelection officials who attend the meetings include campaign manager Jim Messina, senior adviser David Axelrod, deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter, and political adviser Larry Grisolsno.

The meetings have been occurring since long before the official start of the reelection campaign, the sources said.

Obama holds the first rally of his 2012 bid in Ohio on Saturday.

The meetings were first reported on Friday by the New York Times.

Attack ads. Possible new issues to create and how well the Main Plan ( diverting attention from Debt, jobs and The Economy) is going. "Not well, Mr. President. Not well. Most Americans are still caught up in all those worries about The Economy. And the deeper we dig, we can still find no dirt on Mitt Romney."

The Dems should hammer home, with graphs to clearly show their success, the awesome turnaround in the US economy the first year and a half, before the repugs started their campaign to defeat the growth.

Show how the stock markets recovered, job growth turned around, GDP recovered. Show how businesses made incredible profits (yet hired few while outsourcing jobs). Show how the rich increased their wealth. And show how the repugs blocked continued growth while pushing for a return to the Bush method, and away from the Obama method the gave us the turnaround.

Let the repugs deny these facts, when the graphs clearly show when the filibusters began and the House deadlock started.

Today Four decides to use his time-tested "accuse the President of ducking issues he doesn't actually duck" ploy,

"And the deeper we dig, we can still find no dirt on Mitt Romney."

Here Four uses the cheapest of GOBP cult propaganda tricks: He waves his rhetorical wand to disappear all of Rmoney's warts, like his offshore bank accounts, his missing tax returns, his missing MA records and computers, and the millions, if not billions, of pension obligations Bain dumped on the US taxpayer. Don't worry, though, all you radical rightwing extremists, Four will wave his magic wand and make your worries disappear.

@four and the door: don't be too smug and count the chickens before they are hatched. Romney has not released his tax returns yet. There are thousands of people that will tell how their families were impacted by Romney when he was CEO at Bain and outsourced jobs out of our country. Romney has yet to be veted because he is not the official republican nominee.

To paraphrase Harry Truman, THE BUS STOPS HERE. (It must be nice to be a multi-gazillionaire and buy giant busses and pay for humongous parking spaces close to everything.)

Its amazing how these companies are growing into the most successful ever in American history, yet they are exchanging manual labors with robots, computer Systems and Chinese workers. The repubs mantra is that government doesn't create jobs, private sector does, I can't tell because Obama has set these companies up to be the most successful in American history, yet they still not hiring. Obama need to tax these folks and start modernizing America, and hell with the repubs and their no government intervention stants.

If any1 is using diversion/distraction tactics, it's the GOTP & Mitt Romney! Does any1 know what Mitt's platform is? Doing "the opposite of the President," is not a "plan,"nor an answer! The GOTP keeps trotting out the same old"failed policies & lack of accomplishments" fairytale, which I percieve as reverse psychology, a tool often used by bullies to keep a person under their control! The diversion is that the failed policies were left to us by the previous administration, which nearly brought us to our knees & the lack of accomplishments is due to the current GOTPs penchant for obstruction & refusal to help their countrymen! Their plan is to continue the failed policies of the Bush era & their budget proposal reads like a love letter to the rich, richer, richest! Forward w/Obama, or revisit 1912 w/the GOTP? I'm going forward!!

Any moron can see barry is hellbent on destroying this nation for the new world disorder. His stimulus was actually a killmulus, poured sugar into our economic gas tank. IT sent us into this mini depression added trillions to the debt and is currently stifling our recovery. A smashing success for a traitor. Not quite enough to colapse our economy but nice try. Looted the treasury and rewarded his economic advisors at goldman sachs bank. Dont sweat it THEY are, they KNOW THEY HAVE HELL TO PAY.

Romney is a threat to Obama because he's pretty clean and fully competent. That makes him an easy alternative. To win, Obama can't demonize him. He has to be exceptional.
