Greensboro, North Carolina (CNN) - John Edwards knew that a wealthy benefactor was giving money to help cover up his affair with Rielle Hunter, a former speechwriter testified Tuesday during the corruption trial of the former presidential candidate.
Prosecutors say the North Carolina Democrat used donor funds to hide Hunter and their daughter, Quinn, in an effort to keep his candidacy viable.

Really? Let's say it's true. Why would they tell the Obama campaign? It's not as if hair boy was going to be chosen as anything but Breck commercials.

Wow, never heard Obama even mention the speculation of Edwards being his running mate or vice versa.
I am glad that the aid told Obama about the facts before he picked Edwards. That would have been a disaster! OH WAIT- Palin probably would have done mccain in enough that Obama could have picked a bag of chips and still beat mccain. While I think Edwards is a slime and has destroyed his family, I think he has suffered enough, the state has wasted enough money on this, and his family needs their father regardless of what he did. Its NOT something that should have ever gone to a criminal trial, civil YES, criminal NO. This is just a grudge and costing the tax payers millions!
