A second Obama term: What scares Republicans?

Washington (CNN) – A gaffe is when a politician is caught telling the truth, the old saying goes.

So it was in March when a hot microphone picked up President Barack Obama telling his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, that he will have "more flexibility" if he wins re-election in November.

This country can't afford four more years of his overspending party and not even trying to bring our debt down.

Math 101 you can't bring out debt down with trying to get a budget approved with more debt.

People wake up Obama is not the second coming he is just a slick talking snake oil salesman that cares for nobody but himself, family, unions, and how can he tell more lies to get a second term.

Obama words if I can't get this economy straight in three years I don't deserve a second term.

We know a second Obama term would include across-the-board tax increases. We have already heard this from his Economic Adviser. The reason they would use? To have all working Americans pay their "fair share". So many of the lower income earners now pay nothing. This is the only place Obama will find the huge numbers necessary to support the spending already in motion with the increasing cost of Medicare and ObamaCare. So instead of fixing the spending problem he would absolutely go for massive tax increases. To be Fair.

Romney 2012 ( 20% tax cut for every working American)

The incompetent, inept, corrupt union toady has destroyed so much of our wealth and personal freedom during the first 4 years by executive order, how much more can we take?

Well, this is simple. If Obama wins it means two things:

First- that the voting American public has figured out that the GOP has been lying to them, and has figured out who the GOP really has been working for (hint: it isn't Mr. and Mrs. America).

Second- It means that America is rejecting the hyper-partisan, ultra-rightist, radical laws and philosophies we've seen spilling out of the TEA Party dominated GOP. This means the GOP will have marginalized itself by only attracting gun crazies, religious wackos, and people who buy their anti-government hate rhetoric.

It means Americans want sane, functioning government again.

  7. Fair is Fair

"Without the specter of a looming election, a second-term president is liberated to pursue policies that aren't politically tenable at the ballot box."
    -----–
So true. He's radical enough now... without having to worry about reelection, he'll be completely out of control.

The "best President". I shall vote and support him. This election is all about filthy rich v/s middle class working Americans. America wake up.

"A second Obama term: What scares Republicans?"

"White populations have declined in more than half of the USA's counties since 2000, helping fuel a rise in the number of communities where minorities are now the majority, an analysis of 2007 Census estimates released today shows. "
    -USA Today, August 2008

Follow that with the election of a black POTUS and cue the 4 years of poutrage from the far right. So what do they fear from a 2nd term? Simple: it takes away their ability to tell themselves "it was just a fluke and everything will go back normal and white tomorrow" so they can sleep at night.

This one is simple. What scares Republicans is just two things.

First- That Obama winning will mean that the voting American population has figured out the GOP has been lying to them. It also means that Americans have figured out who the GOP has been working for (hint: it isn't you or me, or the vast majority of Americans).

Second- An Obama win means that Americans are rejecting the GOP messgae, with it's hyper-partisan, ultra-rightist, radical ideology that we've all seen spilling out of GOP dominated legislatures (including the U.S. House). The GOP has been taken over by their lunatic fringe (the TEA Party), and it will marganalize the GOP until they once again find their way.

Over all, it means that Americans want a sane, functioning government again.

So, Mitt's finally got his "campaign talking points memo" hand delivered to the media, has he? I understand fully why Mitt's taken to hiding behind the proverbial curtain of silence, but that CNN is so willing to hold his hand while he cowers is a testament to why our country is in the shape it's in politically.

What scares republicans? Facts and solid figures. Also the possibility that the voters will have a better memory. than expected. Example: Binky the wonder chimp, landing aboard an aircraft carrier. Declaring the end to hostilities, and giving the empty headed among us, that he landed the plane. The collapse of the economy during he years of 2001, to 2008. Oh, that was just the effect of the previous years of record employment and market gains. You deluded republican retarded sonsofbitches.

what scares them , means that there will be more gov't spending – and Bush was lying to the american people, and when Al Gore was supposed to be the president, it took the supreme court to let bush stay IN, even though Gore got more votes. The biggest problem is that the Tea party has hi-jacked the GOP – case in point – Lugar. They want the GOP to NOT work with ANY Democratic administration, in essence – nothing gets done with our Tax dollars. Plain & Simple. (not to mention they want to do away with the middle class, or working class people, that makes 50K a yr) They want people in this country to either be ultra rich – or very, very poor.

Dear 4 and the door- you do realize Romney's economic plan once again cuts taxes on the very rich, raises them on the midle class and poor, and hacks off the social safety nets of Medicare and Social Security, right? It's called the RYAN plan.

  21. The REAL Truth...

@Four and The Door – "Romney 2012 ( 20% tax cut for every working American)"
    -----------------------------–
Four – you are delusional and blissfully ignoring reality. The 20% tax cut in the Ryan plan is UNFUNDED !! That translates to a $1.4 TRILLION DEFICIT in it's first year !! The problem is it sounds great... but the last Dem budget proposal was "ONLY" a $900B deficit. And – in the unlikely event that Mittens actually gets elected – how is he going to implement it when it will get blocked by the Senate Dems who will do exactly what the Grand Obstructionist Party has done for the last 3 yrs.. .NADA! It's a GREAT sound bite, but never going to happen.
The 20% would also ensure that the 1% who already pay less – due to CG – would pay NO Tax.. How is that going to fix our budget/deficit woes. Not !!

  22. Obama 2012 - BEND Forward America, take another 4 long years of FAILURE

    What's to fear? Let's see,
    1. ANOTHER $5-6 TRILLION in debt that will bankrupt the country.
    2. A Constitutional crisis as Obama starts issuing Executive Orders instead of working with our elected representatives.
    3. Finding out what he mean't when he promised the Russians he would be "more flexible".
    4. Massive tax increases to fund his massive entitlement society.
    5. SKYROCKETING food and fuel prices as he continues his War on Fossil Fuel.
    6. Continued trampling of our constitutional rights, personal and religious
    7. Continued attacks and demonization of business to the point where they pack up and leave.
    8. Continued attacks and demonization of "evil rich people" to the point where they pack up and leave.

    more to come....

Apparently you are not familiar with Paul Ryan's Path-to-Prosperity, just the Washington Democratic Spin Machine's version. The Path-to-Prosperity is absolutely better for the working Americans and people who need Medicare past 2024. Obama has no plan that looks past November. His budget? He doesn't have one. Instead he just has the debt ceiling. This is pathetic and bad for America's future. Obama is selling out America's future for his political convenience today.

Vote Democrat 2012 – I'm not a huge fan of Obama – but since I paid into social security for 30 years, I'm hoping it will be there – in 5 more years. Because that's all I need to start drawing it, btw – I'm taking it at 62 – the hell with 65 !!
(A pension now days, doesn't cut it, unless you have something else to supplement your income)
If Obama's team with axelrod & plouffe was smart, they would put in Hillary for Obama's Veep – it would be a hands down WIN, instead, it's going to be close one.
    Vote Democrat 2012

We will get twice as much government havoc, graft, and corruption as we got this 4 years since he would not have to face any electoral backlash. I can't imagine anyone liking what he has done unless you are a leach living off the government.
