Obama announces he supports same-sex marriage

(CNN) - President Barack Obama said Wednesday he supports same-sex marriage, raising the political stakes on an issue over which Americans are evenly split.

The announcement was the first by a sitting president and put Obama squarely at odds with presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

This will hurt him with black voters. Not that more than a handful will vote Republican, but many will now stay home.

That can really hurt in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Northern Virginia – all areas where he needs big turnout and high margins to carry those respective states. Oh, and let's not forget Detroit and Chicago.

well, the bigot-right-wing-religious-corporate alliance will of course come out against this, as they've come out against the working class, students, elderly, minorities, immigrants, veterans, the sick, the poor, children, unions, public workers, the unemployed, women...

Really, this is breaking news, CNN needs to start sending reporters out of the office. so the people's reall issues can become breaking news. NO suprise on Obama, seems like everything he does is "evolving", he needs to be a real leader and stop being a coward.

Election year, hmm what a coincidence. Guess he consulted with his teleprompter and read that there's votes to be had by siding with the gays. After the election he's view may evolve again and dump them faster than you can say fast and furious.
