Obama: Biden comments pushed up same-sex marriage announcement

(CNN) - President Barack Obama's announcement that he now supports same-sex marriage came sooner than planned as a result of comments made by Vice President Joe Biden, he said in an interview broadcast Thursday.

"I had already made a decision that we were going to probably take this position before the election and before the convention," Obama told ABC's "Good Morning America," referring to the Democratic National Convention in September.

We're talking about two consenting adults making a legal commitment with each other. There's nothing wrong with that.
This is America, and all Americans should have the same rights.

If you're a man and against same-sex marriage, then don't marry another man.
If you're a woman and against same-sex marriage, then don't marry another woman.
You're perfectly free to marry whomever you please as long as they're of legal age.

OBAMA:BIDEN Aren't you ashamed of yourselves denying God as Eve and bringing death on us:
"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman...they shall surely be put to death" (Leviticus 20: 13)
under Grace Jude 7 they get "the vengeance of eternal fire". Are you God marrying people?

  8. vote the Tea Party OUT in 2012

people that are against same sex marriage or any gay lifestyle more than lkely were not going to vote for Obama anyway so I fail to see what he loses from this. And this deal that Rush is trying to claim a "war on marriage" is complete nonsense. I wish they would define how being acceptable of allowing people of a different lifestyle the legal right to be together is a war.

  9. Obama 2012 - BEND Forward America, take another 4 long years of FAILURE

What a total liar Obama is. He was outted by VP Gaffe-A-MAtic and did not want to be. Now he is just trying to make the best of a bad situation by using it as yet another topic to attack and divide on. The Divider-in-Chief is getting very, very desperate these days.

So Obama has changed his mind twice on this subject. Running for Senator he was for it. In his 2008 campaign he was against it. Now with Obama/ Biden 2012 he is for it again. Does he really own any values?

I say well done and it’s about time.

It’s unfortunate so much of America tries to justify their bigotry and lack of intelligence by hiding behind a Bible. That is the coward’s way.

Well done Mr. Vice President and Mr. President.
