Biden: Convict won 'frustrated, angry' votes

(CNN) – Frustration with the economy led to an incarcerated man winning 40% of votes in the West Virginia Democratic primary earlier this month, Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday.

In an interview with WTOV, Biden said he doesn't "blame people, they're frustrated, they're angry."

"When you're out of work, man, it's a depression," Biden told the CNN Ohio affiliate. "And a lot of people are still hurt because of this Godawful recession we inherited that cost 8.4 million jobs before we could really get going."

The vice president was speaking in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on Thursday, touting the improving auto industry and relating his own middle-class background to experience of many in this battleground state.

But while voters may be frustrated now, Biden said he believes voters will decide he and President Barack Obama are better suited for the White House than GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

"They're going to decide, is the way back to their employment, is the way back to them being able to have a job and raise a family - is it under the values set and the ideas of Romney, or is it under ours?" he said. "And we feel confident we'll do just fine."

Keith Judd, inmate #11593-051, is serving a 210-month sentence in a Texas jail for extortion. He met all the parameters for getting on the West Virginia ballot and received 73, 138 votes to Obama's 106,770 in the primary held on May 8.

That's hilarious! Both the criminal vote AND Joe Biden admitting people are angry and frustrated - hey, Joe - they're angry and frustrated at YOU and Barry! And remember, Joe, like you said, J-O-B-S is a "three-letter word."

I am amazed that many people in W Va were able to read well enough to vote. They probably figured Keith Judd was Wynonna's brother and sang country music.

People have lost their miserable minds. American politics has become a joke thanks to the ignorant voters. How have the "taking your country back" teapublikans served you so far? Stupid.

This is the way the sociorobully might win the presidency. If not enough Democrats and Independents and even republicans see through the b s and the lies and the flip flopping and decide not to go to the polls and we are stuck with a millionaire president who only cares about millionaires and billionaires.
We also have a case in AZ where the AG has decided (bless their tiny little black hearts in that state) that the President was not born in the US (yes, again with the birther crapola) so he is fighting to keep the President's name off the ballot in November. Excuse me, but who are the communists and nazis in this country.
That being said, maybe AZ should look out their own backyard. Maybe all those fires are your god's way of telling the politicians in that state that this IS what you should expect when you die and go to hell!

He shouldn't speak on things that he forces upon others but knows nothing about himself.
This Master of the United States National Guard that inflicts hatred against anyone that actually defends their civil rights whose children serve under his god.

The tongue that wags tales of hate will meet the very same fate.

Nobody needs to apologize to BO. Convict probably smarter. Landslide election to send B O back to community organizer. The recovery will begin sometime on the afternoon of inauguration day for Mitt Romney. Fool me once it's our fault. The fool will be community organizer again real soon,

People in West Virginia need a country all to themselves. Hell, when I was visiting there a couple of years ago I was told in 2 differnt shops that the people there prefer goods made in China rather than made in this country. I was looking for local made merchandise. So, what does that say for these people. Not much !

What does this tell us when you hear RNC leader talking: "the man in the mirror", while himself can not see: "the man with the scissor"!

Romnney needs to check the stats on WV. Hiring for COAL JOBS IS AT THE HIGHEST SINCE 1995.

Dems don't need to waste their money on that state because its one of the least educated states (close to mississippi). And they're proud of it. It's a shame. They raise their kids with bigotry and prejudice. Few leave because they are afraid of he blacks inother states. They will sit there on welfare rather than cross a state line to get a job. Its a shame it's being taught to the kids.

This is more GOP bigotry looking for justification. Like the bigot who has a cover name about BEND forward who always uses flagrantly false GOP lies in his ranting posts.

"Judd, like Romney, need to be properly vetted."

Yeah. We are living through the result of improper vetting.

Just in case there's any baseless utterance of denial ~
"bigot – a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion."
Or some one who says just says NO to any effort toward agreement during a mutual negotiation or discussion ~ as the current GOP/tee-baggs & fox followers demand of their toadies.

Open Primary. Ask Rush Limbaugh about it. Republicans can vote in a Democratic Primary W. Virginia. This vote for a prison inmate is amusing, if not out-right obvious, as who was voting. Doesn't mean a thing. My question is, not if it was embarassing to Pres. Obama but, the citizens of West Virginia??

Some poor white voters would vote for Stalin or Mussolini rather than Obama. It would not matter if Romney cuts taxes for the rich and runs up so much debt that Social Security and Medicare will have to be cut, not just for Democrats but also for poor white voters, as long as Republicans don't tell poor white voters that spending for them will have to be cut too.

AMAZING!! That Biden STILL blames Bush for all OF OBAMAS Srew ups...People did you forget about the first 2 years when Obama controlled the house and senate? QUIT PLAYING Bush Mr.Biden and Mr.President....You have done NOTHING but RAISE the debt ceiling and put folks FURTHER AND FURTHER OUT OF WORK! No wonder W.VA wants someone else in office than you, they chose a convict to say " WE CAN NOT TRUST YOU MR.PRESIDENT ANY MORE"...A convicts word is more reliable than the President of the USA. What a shame that is.

You liberals are pathetic. You can't come to the defense of your first black racist, race-baiting dictator and his court jester with facts, so you resort to name-calling, lies, and plain stupidity.
