Reagan Foundation threatens legal action over blood vial sale

(CNN) - The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation threatened legal action over the online sale of a vial purportedly containing dried blood from the former president following a 1981 assassination attempt.

"If indeed this story is true, it's a craven act and we will use every legal means to stop its sale or purchase," said a statement from John Heubusch, the foundation's executive director.

Washington (CNN) – As it turns out, Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker did talk with an official at the Democratic National Committee following his off-message appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," an Obama campaign spokesman confirmed Tuesday.

Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for the president's re-election team, told CNN in an interview on Monday that Booker was never pressured by the Obama campaign to record a YouTube video clarifying his remarks on the Sunday talk show.

Arkansas primary may pose challenge for Obama

(CNN) – Arkansas's Democratic presidential primary, which takes place Tuesday, wouldn't ordinarily seem like a political fight. After all, President Barack Obama has already wrapped up the Democratic presidential nomination and is engaged in a heated general election campaign with GOP rival Mitt Romney.

But the Arkansas primary may become another political headache for Obama, who two weeks ago faced an unlikely challenge from a federal inmate in West Virginia's Democratic contest. In Arkansas, the challenge comes from John Wolfe, a perpetual Democratic presidential candidate who has never held political office.
