Republicans have members of Congress heckling the President in the State of the Union Address. Turn off Fox News and think.

What a surprise McCain would call someone a jerk because they disagree with him. What happened to free speech. You would think that someone who wanted to be President would be able to control his comments. Of course he still thinks he made a good choice when he chose Sarah Palin to be his running mate. Time to retire John.

Heckler was out of line. However McCain and the GOP love their wars. Romney and the GOP would stay in Iraq and Afghanistan forever if they had the chance. Who cares how much it costs or how many people die. GOP always has enough money for their wars. No deficit reduction there and the American people get stuck with the bill.......

In the famous words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get alone." y'all are just as bad as the dems and repubs. You never show the desire for common ground

Blame blame blame. Accuse accuse accuse. That's all we ever do in politics. Plain and simple: this guy was being rude and was an absolute jerk (regardless of political affiliation) and McCain called him out on it. Kudos to McCain.

  8. Heckle the heckler?

That's it John McCain... Heckle the hecker... Show him you are no different because it's the American thing to do! It's the Traditional thing to do! It's the Christian thing to do! It's the High School thing to do!

Talk about out of touch with your message and your supposed way of living. And don't think no one saw Romney laughing in the background at the 'Jerk' comment. This is what the GOP calls 'leading', the demeaning of others because they disagree with you. Some example they are setting.

Vote Romney and McCain if you support lies, bullying, assault and whatever it takes to get the crowd to laugh, all in an effort to make them feel better about themselves. Or...

Vote Obama 2012 if you are fed up with adult children thinking only of themselves and how they can line their pockets at the expense of pretty near anyone.

Me personally, I'm done with the immature ways of the GOP. Obama definitely gets my vote this time around. At least he's making an effort.

I agree with Katie B. Mr. McCain and the gentleman in the black cowboy hat should remove them during the singing of the national anthem. I still question the photos of McCin as a POW. Who was kind enough to take the photos of him and then provide them to Mr. McCain. Just wondering.

Just wait until the truth comes out about Mitt's Mormon faith. I can't wait until they start asking tough questions about the blood atonement ceremony that is included in his secret society temple ritual. You think Rev. Wright is a big deal, wait until they pull the curtain back on the Mormons. Mitt is a vulture capitalist that took my company apart. Sent the labor overseas and made millions. This guy is just exactly what we need to finish this country off.

The knee jerk reaction by many of the people participating in the so called (social give and take), serves to show how thin skinned the republican supporters really are. The fact that this person heckled Mr. war monger himself, in no way proves that the young heckler is democrat. Maybe this person was planted in the audience to do this deed, thereby giving the impression that someone could be a member of an opposing party, and position. Could this happen? Don't bet against it.

Why is Romney hanging around with McCain. McCain lost the election in 2008. I can think of more worthy POW'S than McCain.

McCain is a war monger from the Cold War era. He should be ashamed for rattling a saber during Memorial Day ceremonies. As a veteran I will not vote for Romney and the Neo Con agenda of continual warfare. I have friends who died needlessly in foreign wars that had no purpose except to enrich American and multinational Corporations. And, like Romney, I didn't see their sons in uniform either. Wake up America, its time to fix America, stop throwing your tax dollars at foreign wars.

What about the "you lie!" heckle that was given in front of the entire congress? THAT was disrespectful. Would McCain have shouted back "jerk" to members of congress if they had interrupted him the way Obama was? Tell me again how Republicans don't heckle.

I am sure the heckler is just a typical liberal living off tax dollars from people who work for a living. Sad

McCain is an embarrassment to the GOP and Conservatives everywhere. He ran a joke of a campaign, supports amnesty legislation and wants us to support the Islamists in Syria. Who cares if he was heckled? Romney should avoid him like the plague

Damn right the Tea Party disrespects some GOP. If you're a statist or a RINO you're going to get heckled. If you believe in big government, higher taxes and taking away states rights you're going to get heckled. The Tea Party isn't for the GOP, we're for freedom.

Nothing compared to the townhall meetings the scripted teabaggers were sent to disrupt nationwide. Can't wait until August when they join the Ron Paulbots to turn out the Anybody but Mitt McCain convention in Tampa.

The classy thing would have been to just ignore the heckler and go on with his speech. The man had already been removed. Why did McCain have to prolong the moment by calling him a jerk? Tacky.
