Washington (CNN) – Mitt Romney's presidential campaign bought one week's worth of TV ad time for $2 million Tuesday, marking its largest seven-day commercial time buy since it began its general election campaign, according to a Republican ad buying source.
The new buy will bring the total for general election advertising for the Romney campaign to $5.25 million.

For spots beginning Wednesday, the campaign purchased $317,205 in Iowa, $550,570 in North Carolina, $810,640 in Ohio and $377,325 in Virginia - all considered key battleground states in the general election. These are the same four states the campaign has been advertising in for two weeks.
The new buys run from Wednesday through next Tuesday.
There is no word what commercials the campaign may be running. The last two weeks has seen the campaign broadcast two different ads highlighting some of the policy initiatives Romney would enact on his first day in office.
The presumptive Republican nominee's ad buys come as the Obama re-election campaign is airing just over $25 million worth of commercials in eight battleground states–the same four where Romney is on the air plus Colorado, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada. The Obama team's ads went up May 9th and will run through next Monday.

Darn, now Mrs. Romney will have to make do with only a million dollar shopping spree.
Ads that are lies and he is wasting his money in MD, a blue state except for the rednecks in the outer edges of the state. They have been hammering us in MD for weeks about healthcare costs (Obamacare is NOT compeltely in the book) and other lies and what the President promised which I think he has tried to do as much with a congress who wants him to be a one term president.
The Kola bishop is going to have to answer real tough questions at some point and I hope the reporter has the balls to ask the real questions. Not the cream puffs of what newspapers do you read. duh!
The money just keep flowing to buy ads. What a waste. The idea that the person with the most money behind him will win this election is on everyone's mind. Hopefully, we as a nation will respond to the FACTS and no to campaign slogans, tv spots and messages.
He is going to have a first class campaign organization. They are going to hit back fast against the the Dem attacks and run on President and The Dems record in office. How come I am not hearing you democrats/liberals and the main street media complain about how much money Obama is raising for his campaign but CNN has to tell us about Romney spending $2 million dollars on buying ads. It seems that its an everyday thing now for Obama to be attending a fundraiser. When does he do his work as president? We have a 1/4 president and he is still getting a full salary. Waste of taxpayers money as fas as I am concerned. But not a word out of the main street media except to say that he is able to raise so much money but no complaints.

The few very wealthy individuals bankrolling the Romney campaign probably see their $$ as an investment, not a donation, for which they expect to get a return.... which will, unfortunately, probably come out of the hides of the American public – less investments in education, police, fire, roads, etc. to provide more tax breaks for a few – oh, and a "flattening and broadening" of the tax base [translation - they pay less, YOU pay more].

Is there a coherent thought in there? The Dow is up, unemployment down and bin-Laden dead, so somehow the President is getting his work done. And in case you hadn't noticed, CNN also reports on big Dem ad buys, Pay attention. Finally, did you complain about fundraising and travel expenses when other presidents did it?
