Obama telephones Romney congratulations

(CNN) - President Barack Obama called presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday to offer congratulations on reaching the number of delegates required for the GOP nomination, both candidates' campaigns acknowledged Wednesday.

"President Obama said that he looked forward to an important and healthy debate about America's future, and wished Governor Romney and his family well throughout the upcoming campaign," the Obama campaign said in a statement.

The call took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. ET while Romney was in California, and a Romney campaign source added the conversation "was brief and cordial."

"Gov. Romney thanked the President for his congratulations and wished him and his family well," the Romney campaign source said.

Romney surpassed the GOP "magic number" of 1,144 Tuesday evening, and CNN projects he now has 1,171 delegates for the Republican National Convention, which will be held in Tampa this August.

"Let's play compare the candidates' levels of class!

Obama – "Congratulations on your nomination."

Mittens – *SILENCE* while he let's Tramp run around representing him and fundraising for him spewing birther vitriol."

    or

Obama – "Congratulations on your nomination."

Mittens – *Sorry, gotta run. I have to meet Newt and the Donald to lie about you in the few minutes."

This shows that the President has more class than this Kola planet bishop will ever have.
I personally wouldn't have wasted any precious time on this loser.

No, Rudy NYC – Willard doesn't think he has to do anything and that is one of the many reasons he should not be president.

Obama is the smartest and best President we've had in quite some time. His record is good and would be better if he had not had the dumbest Congress ever defeating and fighting his every attempt. The real culprits here also are the "small & large" business owners who took their businesses overseas where they could get cheaper labor instead of hiring our American workers!!
Really, Trump, Obama would be an American even if he had been born on the Moon since his Mother was American!!!

In response, Mittens told the President that he (Mittens) is willing to lie through his teeth, mislead the American public, hang with losers like the Trumpster and in general do whatever Karl Rove and Grover Norquist tell him (after all, they only want Mittens for his "10 working digits") in his pursuit of the White House.

President Obama has maintained his statesman demeanor, and his command of the high road throughout unprovoked and ridiculous attacks on him, his leadership, and even his place of birth. He proves over and over who is the true leader, and adult in a room full of wannabes.
He continues to provide steady, stellar and sane leadership in the midst of GOP induced chaos.
This is what a true President looks like, and acts like.
Rommney's money and friends CANNOT buy this.
    Obama 2012. Seriously America.

Great comment. I mean President Obama hasn’t already been through multiple debates, right? Oh, and in case you have not been paying attention, the teleprompter bit is on the back burner. The ‘birther’ garbage is all the rage again. Try to keep up…

Who cares if Romney came to Texas or not. All we care about here in Texas is making Obama a term president, which by the way will happen.

Actually, this is why your party is going to lose. The common sense of America knows that the GOP hasn't done anything to boast their credibility for healing the economy. You only care about defeating your leader whom you dispise because he is a smooth, brotha that none of these GOP clowns have any major dirt to tarnish him. Tell me this....WHAT PROMISES THAT HE MADE THAT WON YOUR VOTE IN 2008. You keep preaching about broken promises as if you voted for him to fulfill them. The GOP has done a lot to obstruct.

Let me break the news to you that then Sen. Obama did not use teleprompters during any presidential debates. BTW, he didn't write any notes in the palm of his hands, either.

  20. Governor 47th in Job Growth

Oh no, that seems like another personal attack.
Pure class by POTUS before he kicks Willard's backside this fall.
And Willard's record as Gov in MA is fair game too. Was 37th in job growth pre-Willard. Fell back 10 spots to 47th with Willard's private sector experience crashing it. Rest of the nation grew at 3 and a half times that of MA with Bain RMoney wrecking shop.

The country and the economy were pretty much nearly destroyed during the Bush administration. It just takes a little bit longer for some folks to notice.
