Romney grades Obama: 'F, no question about that'

(CNN) – Asked in an interview Thursday what letter grade he'd assign President Barack Obama, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney answered unequivocally.

"Oh an 'F', there's no question about that," Romney said in the CBS News interview, saying the grade was for issues "across the board."

Even factoring in the decision to kill Osama bin Laden, which he said he "appreciated," Romney said his grade would remain the same.

"When I look at foreign policy, when I look across the board in foreign policy, I look at the fact that he was looking to have a force of American troops staying in Iraq securing what was so hard to have been won there with a status of forces agreement. He failed to achieve it. I look at what's happening in the Middle East. The Arab Spring has become the Arab Winter, That's hardly a success."

Responding to Romney's interview, Obama's re-election campaign released a statement from former Ambassador to India Tim Roemer, who called Romney's assessment "misguided."

"Governor Romney's comment assigning a grade to President Obama's foreign policy is just as misguided and misinformed as his statement about Russia being our top geopolitical foe," Roemer wrote. "Since taking office, President Obama has responsibly ended the war in Iraq; decimated al-Qaeda's leadership, including Osama bin Laden; is winding down the war in Afghanistan; reduced the threat of nuclear weapons; strengthened our alliances; increased our exports overseas, creating jobs here at home; and led the world in putting crippling sanctions on Iran. Gov. Romney is out of the mainstream even of his own party on foreign policy, and many prominent Republican experts have recognized President Obama's accomplishments on these issues."

Obama only saved the auto industry, doubled the value of the Dow Jones, ended the Iraq war and set a time table to end the Afghan war, got bin Laden, got paid healthcare for 27 million people. Yeah that looks like an "F". BTW Mitt gives himself an "A+" on his first term.

Mittens is a child running around in a mannequin's body. A loss of 8 million jobs in the three years before Obama became president has been turned around and over 4.3 million private sector jobs have been created without a single vote from an elected republican. Mittens in MA lost jobs, and only right wingnuts would believe he is a job creator.

    Obama gets an F? Really??
So what grade would Romney give Bush after 2 wars, tax breaks for the rich, and tanking the economy???
Matter of fact.. what grade would Mitt give Reagan??? And Bush Senior?

    Back to Barry....

    He killed Osama.
He killed most of OBL's predecessors.
    He saved GM.
    He passed the AHA
He supported Gay marriage and DADT
He kept our economy from going over the cliff Bush drove it too.
Has he had to spend to prevent a recession from turning into a depression..? yup.

All this while doing so against a NO NO NO Republican congress who swore to make him a 1 term Prez the first week he was in office. And while getting nothing but hate from closet racist Tea party and Birther members...

So which policy is a "Failed Policy" exactly? Solyndra and health care are the only things these Righties can yap about.

Wow... when you take it ALL into context.. you almost HAVE to give the Prez an "A".
But he'll bet a solid B in my book.

Hey, Willard, if "F" is the lowest grade, then you deserve "F--"! But, that's OK, you will newer be President, so we will not have a chance to grade you! Another side, as a bishop, your grade is "A"!

Another fake answer from the fake candidate. Do you ever get the impression that Willard only answers how he thinks the base wants him to. The guy doesn't use his own brain for anything besides a freakin hat rack. Willard you get an F for FAKE.

Our country was on an economic abyss just four years ago. Stock market, banks and car companies were about to go broke. And Obama stabilized it and it is slowly recovering.

Compare that to record surpluses, low unemployment and no debt om 2000. And Bush destroyed it.

And Republican wants to give a Democrat an F?

The only F goes to the idiots who believe the GOP.

This type of black and white rhetoric is one of the main causes of the toxic atmosphere in politics today. I would have a lot more respect for Gov. Romney if he could state what he feels President Obama has done well and what exactly he would have done differently on those policies he disagrees with. Saying that President Obama deserves an 'F' across the board smacks of empty hyperbole.

If Obama is an F and you get elected Mitt, we'll have to invent a whole new grading system to grade what a complete joke of a president you will be.

Oh that is rich, Mittens grades Barack Obama an "F". If someone with Romney's track record gave me an "F" I would wear it as a badge of honor. When Mitt Romney ran in in 2008 I said then that he was the only GOP candidate who could "do the impossible" and actually be a worse President than George W Bush. He has done nothing in the past 4 years to change my opinion of him. In fact if anything he is worse now, for having to please the Tea Party, than he was then. I cringe to think that he could be President and it frightens m e to know that all it will take is a low voter turnout to make it happen.

The question I have is what would Romney have done differently? Is there really something that Romney could point to that he said or did to promote his opinion or objectives for the country? I haven't really heard what Romney wants to do.

Romney's not misguided. He's just plain old every day stupid. He thinks people believe his lies and will vote for him. He's dead wrong on both accounts.

Obama Administration seemed to have achieved a self-defeating foreign policy. Indeed, an armed force deployment by U.S. troops in Iraq could be far better than any diplomatic effort that Obama Administration has been seeking for.

Romney may be winning the GOP nomination to go against soon to be 2nd term president Obama he is not in any position to grade the president. Many may give Romney adouble FF grade fro being a foul mouth. He needs to show some decency.
