Washington (CNN) - There were smiles, laughter and tears - but little politics - when former Presidents George W. Bush and his father, George H. W. Bush, joined current President Barack Obama at the White House for the unveiling Thursday of the younger Bush's official portrait.
An emotional ceremony in the East Room saw the new White House residents thanking their predecessors for their service to the nation and for helping them out during the move more than three years ago.

Sponsored by Crayola, no doubt. Was it done on a napkin or a Denny's placemat?
"Obama has blamed his predecessor's administration for leaving the nation in economic shambles, and he now accuses his certain Republican opponent in November's election - Mitt Romney - of advocating the same failed policies.

Cathy, you must have forgotten that he threw both of his shoes at Dubya.
Both of the Bushes should NEVER be allowed to enter the White House again. Lying thieves.
Good one Grover! Where is he indeed? I wonder if Bush 2 still has the skills to dodge the shoes? I doubt it though, looks like he has been hitting the bottle hard with Boehner.
OBAMA 2012!
Look at the underlying worry in those faces! It gets worse as get older, even after you've left the job.
The shrub sure looks haggard, must be the weight of all those dead service members killed in Iraq weighing on his soul.
Hang his portrait in an elevator with the doors opening and closing. What a clown.
Underneath his photo should be an asterik.
*Lied country into war & caused a crtical financial depression"
The world is trying to forget those 8 miserable years ever happened! That administration was one of the worst in American history. Why immortalize them by hanging a picture of Shrub in there?
I have no need to see any image of a Bush. Everytime I see a vet missing a limb or limbs I see George Bush, The destroyer of the US.
Bad enough that Dubya is being honored? But, why is the old many Bush going to be there?
