Under GOP attack, Obama talks jobs and raises money

(CNN) - President Barack Obama hit the road for campaigning and fundraisers Friday, arguably the worst day so far in his re-election bid due to a disappointing employment report that brought sharp Republican attacks led by certain GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Speaking late in the day at a Chicago fundraiser, the president said voters will have a clear choice this November.

This is a day of rejoicing for republicans. More Americans OUT of work, unemployment figures UP. Yes, great day indeed.

The bait and switch TPers ran on Job, Jobs, Jobs, and have done the level best to keep anything happening on that front. I think they should all be sent BACK into the job market after the November election!

Hillary was right, it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush. We ended up with an empty suit instead.

Here's the problem, Obama was convinced that if he raised taxes on the rich that money would pay for the Federal government to hire the unemployed, the problem is he didn't count with that idea not becoming a reality. Now Obama has to go back to the private sector for jobs, thus the small businesses come into play and small businesses have been struggling and because Obama had threatened higher taxes then the small businesses didn't want to spend money, hire new employees but hunging on the cash in the bank. And because of so many unemployeed then of course Sales take a deep in small businesses.

GOP is an utter nonsense to USA. It broke this nation. GOP is a CULT, and KKK in USA.

Please note, folks. Republicans are not talking about *how* they would actually make things better for the middle class. They have made no secret that their goal is to make things better for their "job creators". They do not discuss *how* they would make things better because they would have utter those three polictically incorrect words, "trickle down economics."

He does well raising money. He's an economic lightweight when it comes to the economy.

Republicans are wishing failure and cheering when the economy is not producing jobs.

How about paying more taxes. What happened to the Buffet rule.

We will remember this in November and vote all Republicans out of the white house.

Obama's organization is going to deliver for him in 2012.

Actually, Hillary and Bill Clinton understand business as they themselves had been business owners and did venture into real estate busienss so they do understand how difficult it is to keep a business going and how much a business spends and all the legalities involved in a business. Obama unfortunately did not own a business, never ran a business and never even worked in a business and never took business administration in school so it's like a person teaching who has never been a student, worked in a school or took teaching training.

Well, many of us have known all along that the job market and the economy have NOT improved. All you have to do is go out into the real world instead of sitting at your computer reading the CNN Democratic Propaganda Machine.

Economy tanking again but I'm sure it's Bush's fault of course.

A day OF RECKONING is a pond us the veal of Miitt Romney and the republicans are going to expose one day. That when the American people see the true GOP,like the exposing of President Bush All the President is trying to do help the poor, middle class and the business community I pride myself on what my people (black folks) went thur in order to vote and have some kind of equableness here in American. LET ME ASSURE YOU if THE PRESIDENT LOSSES I WILL NEVER EVER VOTE DEMOCRAT AGAIN

Voters need to wise up to the fact that the President's ability to address these problems is hampered by a Congress that blocks every proposal that they think could possibly succeed. It's great to vote for the President that you want but when you sit out the next election and the President gets stuck with an obstructionist Congress, he's left with very few options. At some point, voters must take responsibility for THEIR failure to educate themselves on the issues, the way government works, and their responsibility to vote.

Actually, the economy has improved with no help from the elected right wingnuts. 4.3 million private sector jobs created under Obama is a hell of a lot better than the loss of 8 million jobs in Bush's last three years. All you have to do to find that out is turn off Fox foreign owned media, and the truth will set you free.

  19. Wake up people

Never in my life did I think I would see elected officials cheering for our economy to get worse. Never have I seen a congress like the one we have now. And the worst part of all you have a huge population that is turning a blind eye to everything. People get over your racist views. We may be different shades but we are all human. We all bleed red. I can thank God that no black person that I know teaches their children to hate just because of a persons skin color or lack thereof. It's 2012 people, wake up.

    OBAMA 2012!

@my viewis, please don't respond to me or my posts anymore. I don't come here to argue. I come here to discuss my political views with intelligent like minded people like myself, if I wanted to listen to your tripe I would be on a Faux Noise site.

Much ado about nothing and more pessimism from the GOP and Mittens. Fact remains, the jobs number is still on the plus side and not in negative territory like losing 750,000/month. May not have been as many as we would like, but if you saw the breakdown the was another job decrease in the gov't sector but an increase in the private.

Well, two of my family members (that I know of) would call you a LIAR. Since they lost their jobs during the Great Recession – courtesy of your republican party – they have secured GOOD paying positions with companies who are hiring hundreds, yes hundreds of employees so I don't have to tell you who they will be voting for.

Republicans are wishing failure and cheering when the economy is not producing jobs.
–And can you give us the names of who is cheering? Acknowledging falure is hardly cheering?

How about paying more taxes. What happened to the Buffet rule.
–Happily those who actually know economics know that it was just more smoke. You could raise the taxes on the rich by any amount you want and it would not make a difference. The very rich already pay most of the taxes while the bottom 50% pay none.–

We will remember this in November and vote all Republicans out of the white house.
