Fierce Wisconsin recall campaign winds up

(CNN) - Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican hero for pushing austerity measures that stripped collective bargaining rights from most public unions, rallied supporters Monday night, one last push before a recall that's drawn lots of outside interest and money.

"We can't spike the ball on the 10-yard line. We've got to take it all the way into the end zone," Walker said in a Green Bay restaurant, within walking distance of the Packers' famed Lambeau Field.

It's money well spent. Walker has been a terrible Governor and needs to be held accountable and (I hope) stopped before he can do more damage to our economy, educational institutions, environmental protections and basic way of life. Even Doyle in his last year in office created more jobs than Walker, and Doyle was coming out of a recession, not creating one. Austerity budgets don't work, nor does treating your political opponents (at least half the state) as your enemies. Walker is not only a lousy leader but a lousy CEO *and* a lousy politician. The only thing he is good at is repeating half lies and hiring dishonest people that he (apparently) never checks up on.

Need to make the right spend this much money for every election, in every county, in every state of these United States.

We can break them financially if we do.

Now the activists converge on Wisconsin to influence an election. Scott Walker will win the recall election and once again show how the public unions waist their union members monies.

If the public unions have that much money to waste, maybe it’s time to tax the public unions like a corporation. The public unions take money in; they’re not spending it on their membership, so it’s time to tax the public unions.

Shame on the people of Wisconsin, for voting Walker in the first time. People this divisive should not be considered as leaders. People this divisive are responsible for great masses of wealth being spent, trying to correct their mistakes and clean up the messes left in their wake. None of this had to happen.

Well, if Walker wins, he'll be one of the most expensive governors bought and paid for during the remainder of his term. Bought and paid for by corporate America. And your vote doesn't mean anything if an election can be bought. But that's all right if it's "your" guy who wins. This is what the Tea Party patriots have brought to this country.

If Walker wins this recall, Romney WILL win Wisconsin in November!! And, let's be honest here......The reason that Obama did not show up in Wisconsin, is because it would not have helped Barrett to win!! As an article stated in the NYTimes, Obama was 15 miles driving distance to Wisconsin over the weekend.

If the Democratic voters do not turn out for Barrett tomorrow, they will not turn out for Obama in November!! There are now many Democratic voters who do not like Obama. These voters may not vote for Romney, but they will stay home!! This has been shown in the many, recent Democratic primaries where the Democratic voters were voting for "Other" instead of Obama!!

@John PA... In case you missed it, your right wing counterparts are the ones outspending the Dems and the Unions. Way to pay attention. We understand though... It's typical of the Republicans to twist the facts into whatever fits their agenda.
@OMG The pattern of obstruction you espouse is exactly what your house republican bretheren have done for the entire term of President Obama. As I said above, typical republican rhetoric. Sad that you will vote for "whomever runs against Obama" rather than the best candidate for the job.
Republicans make me sick. WAKE UP WISCONSIN~ DO THE RIGHT THING AND VOTE WALKER OUT.

Not that it matters to me because I don't live in Wisconsin, but I'm beginning to think Barrett might pull if off after all. There is too much anger coming from the right, suggesting this isn't a "done deal" for Walker.

If Wisconsin doesn't take back their state, someone else will. Its kind of like "liberty", once you lose it you'll never get it back.

I'm also reminded that "single issue" voters threaten democracy and the American way of life.

Waukesha, Washington, and Ozaukee counties is Scott Walker's fall back plan for stuffing the ballot boxes in his favor if Barrett appears to pull off a victory.
