Romney's former No. 2 defends his Mass. record

(CNN) – While Democrats have zeroed in on Mitt Romney's record as former Massachusetts governor, Kerry Healey, Romney's former lieutenant governor, on Monday said the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has "nothing to be ashamed of" when it comes to his time in office.

"Looking at Governor Romney’s record in Massachusetts is only going to reinforce what a strong candidate he is and how he does understand how to create jobs. It’s a shocking thing to see that these numbers are not only taken out of context, they’re represented in ways that are really quite dishonest," she said on CNN's "John King, USA."

  1. Governor 47th in Job Growth

Lots of people understand how to do something, they just aren't able to do so. Willard probably understands how to hit a 100mph fastball, but I'd place a RMoney 10k bet that he CAN'T.
As evidenced by his dismal record in MA (37th down to 47th in one term, while the rest of the country outpaced MA by three and a half times!!!) as well as his personal status: hasn't created a job for himself even during the 6 years that he's been bopping around.
He's good at the shell game for making himself rich; everyone else? Not at all. Kerry Healey: a real number two. And a poor liar to boot.

How much money did Romney give this republican minion idiot.Facts don't lie, republican idiots do,they speak volumes of unfactual crap, its recorded live and they hate it when you hold them to it.She's as ignorent as most of his minions, who put up with this corporate crap from a candidate you might not know even borrowed monies for Bain ,from the FDIC and never paid it back, that's your money and its in the millions, another fact he doesn't want to remember. But it'll come up at the debates like the billions of state dollars he invested in corporations that also went bankrupt,he won't like that, but that's politics, can't hide from that can ya,ask the residents of Massachusetts, they know!!!

"Nothing to be ashamed of" I think that sums up the entire problem with the Republican party.
No shame in the war on women
No shame in trying to destroy unions
    No shame in Gay bashing
No shame in giving tax breaks to the rich
No shame in spending trillions on useless weapons
No shame in starting unjust wars
No shame in demonizing public workers
No shame in demonizing clean air and water
    No shame..........

47th in state job creation is the new number 1 in republicanism. If Kerry had any scruples, she should be embarrassed, but, Mittens has none either.

Interesting comments about Romney's time as governor of MA. Much of the success he had is owed to Ms. Healey's work. She does not talk about the time when he was running for President and his time away from his job.

MA was 47th in job creation in the nation under Romney, correct? Spin it how ever you must, Republicans, but the facts aren't on your side on this one...

So where is the supposed unbiased media checking of all the Democrats LIES about Romney's record as Governor of Mass.??? The truth is easily found on the web, but they continue to repeat the lies the leftists spew without fact checkin g them. The LSM has become a propaganda wing of the Democrat Party.

Why isn't there a full article on Romney time as Gov. of MA reporting this angle? I'm not a conspiracy nut-job but hard not to think someone's not wanting the story out. Every statistic can be manipulated to give the impression you want given. We should be hearing about all the aspects of the MA story. Romney actually has some experience and a record to consider– unlike Obama had in '08.

Romney is the master of the dishonest "spin". It's amusing to hear one of his people even discuss the subject of honesty!

Then what is Mitt waiting for? He should have brought up Massachusetts, by now. Instead it's all CEO-this and Olympics-that. We get it, you're not a politician, you're from the private sector. The "outsider" that can 'change' Washington... Now, where have I heard that before? Just one problem with you wanting everyone to believe you're not a politician, Mitt – You were a governor!

But Kerry was whining the opposite in the bio-book, THE REAL ROMNEY, crying how alexithemic Mitt left MA in bad shape for the GOP. And numbers don't lie. Nice try, Kerry.

Republicans like to crow about how Romney balanced the budget in MA while cutting taxes – but they never bother to explain exactly how he did it. For one thing, he made severe cuts to programs that helped the poor and the middle class. But the biggest step he took was that he dramatically increased the fees being charged and starting charging fees for government services that before were free. And again, fees were raised the most on services largely used by middle class and the poor, while leaving those that would effect the rich mostly untouched.

So, while it is true from a strictly technical standpoint that Romney cut taxes – in the end the vast majority of people were paying far more to the government than before. And the burden was placed firmly on the back of the middle class and poor while at the same time the rich were given every privilege.

As Governor of MA, Romney spend two thirds of his term out of state, mostly campaigning for President. This shows that he considers the position nothing more than a platform to further his own ambitions and doesn't care about the responsibilities of office. Under Romney, MA was ranked 47th in the nation on job creation. After just one term as Governor, 71% of the people of MA said that they would never vote for Romney again. Romney's campaign has already written off his own home state as a loss.

Too late healey, the bully bishop from Kola already picked somebody from his mormon state of Utah to do his bidding. BTW – is the bishop like the flake from MN but in reverse?
The flop flopper loves Utah because of his religion but seems to think that Michigan is just a state that can go bankrupt itself.
    Nice!
