
Salt Lake City, Utah (CNN) - It's an exclusive ticket: a day-long Utah retreat for high-dollar donors to huddle with Mitt Romney.
A senior Romney adviser tells CNN invitations have gone out for the retreat, which will take place later this month in the Deer Valley resort area of Park City where Romney used to own a home.

Rosemont, Illinois (CNN) - Marco Rubio has repeatedly pushed back against talk of becoming Mitt Romney's running mate. The Florida senator has previously said, "I'm not going to be the vice president," and in another instance suggested former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for the job.
Despite that, Rubio's name consistently percolates near the top of many potential VP lists.

Rosemont, Illinois (CNN) – As Rick Santorum praised Mitt Romney and pledged to help elect him, the former Pennsylvania senator also said on Friday that part of his "mission" is to keep Romney's feet to the fire on conservative issues.
Santorum's comments happened during an interview with 89 WLS radio Chicago. Santorum was attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in Rosemont, Illinois.

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama, walking back his assertion at a press conference the "private sector's doing fine," acknowledged Friday that "it is absolutely clear that the economy is not doing fine."
The struggling economy, he clarified, is "why I had the press conference."

(CNN) - A day after endorsing Mitt Romney, Sen. Rand Paul said it would be an honor to run alongside the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.
"A year, year and a half ago, I was a physician in a small town," Paul, the junior Republican senator from Kentucky, told CNN's Don Lemon. "And it would be a great honor to be considered as a vice president for the Republican Party. I think that would be something that anybody who said otherwise would not be being truthful."

Salt Lake City, Utah (CNN) - Mitt Romney berated Barack Obama as "so far from reality" after the president said the private sector is "doing fine" during a press conference Friday.
"He said the private sector is doing fine. Is he really that out of touch? I think he is defining what it means to be detached and out of touch with the American people," Romney said in Council Bluffs, Iowa after a roundtable discussion with farmers.
