Romney to address Faith and Freedom Coalition from the road

Washington (CNN) - Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will address an annual Faith & Freedom Conference via video conference instead of in person Saturday, the group confirmed to CNN.

Romney was originally scheduled to attend the Faith & Freedom Conference & Strategy Briefing in Washington, DC, but the event conflicts with his multi-state bus tour slated to begin on Friday in New Hampshire.

"We're very pleased that Governor Romney will still be able to address the attendees. It shows that the campaign is making a serious effort to reach out to grassroots activists who will be responsible for turning out the largest conservative vote in a presidential election in the modern era," said Faith and Freedom Coalition Communications Director Orit Sklar.

Despite the governor’s absence, there will be a Romney in attendance: Josh Romney will be at the conference to introduce his father, Sklar said.

Faith and Freedom: The freedom to bilk the masses, and the faith to know that they'll vote against their own self interest. They do so because they have trouble seeing through all the shiny catch phrases, and are snake charmed by the illusion that they too can share in the dream. What fools they are to think they can compete with the likes of the mega wealthy. The republicans know this. Why don't you?

You vote Romney, you win the surprise of your lifetime, Paul Ryan's Budget that will sell you to Wall Street like cattle. That's why you don't hear Romney talk about his jobs or economic plans because it's the Paul Ryan unpopular budget and the rest is the Pledge to Grover Norquist instead of the Pledge to the American Flag and all of it's citizens.

He won't be there because there will be questions from others besides Faux Noise and he's afraid to face any real media. He's also afraid people might start seeing the real Mittens.....if there is one.

    OBAMA 2012!

Freedom from DOMA? I wanna ask him what he will do to Free Gay people from DOMA. What will he do to ensure my family will no longer suffer the effects of Doma on a daily basis. Where does his Mormon Value begin and end when it comes to civil rights violations?

After watching Obama botch one topic after another last week, I decided to support Mittens! Yes, based on the far-fetched, backtracking with Clinton, Obama and most of the liberals, I'm convinced Mittens is getting my support!

@California – There were dozens of sermons on tape and out of 100+ hours of material, they found 90 seconds of objectionable material... but keep on trying to make a big deal out of it. It's better than lying about the President's record, like the Romney campaign has been doing on a daily basis.

If you're a Christian and want to vote for a Christian, you have but 1 choice: President Obama. That's what needed to be said.

And Willard is what? A religion that belives Jesus was the son of a god? No thank you. I'll stick with that Muslim, Kenyan born, anti-American, Marxist. See how foolish you people sound? No proof of any of these things, just ignorance and fear of what you don't understand. It's sad in 2012 people like you still exist.

Republicans do not love our country, they just say they do. But their actions speak louder than their words.

Some people claim to be smart, educated, and to have their facts straight. For example, Mitt Romney.

Ofcause he's doing it via video. This way you can't ask him questions he can't answer. But he will tell you all about it if he's elected. He's a GOP, count on it.

What do these "faith and freedom" conference people really stand for? It isn't clear to me as to what is going on other than people who think that any governmental attempt to help those that need help is an infringment on someone else's freedom. How strange is that; where is their compassion? There only so much that people can pull themselves up by.

The only reason why he is speaking there is because there is no one left to challenge his values that may or may not be good for families or the country.

@ California - Then what defines a Christian? There are clear rules for other religion depending upon a few factors.

Faith and Freedom Coalition? Oh, yeah, the guys who want to impose their Faith on the rest of us, while curtailing our Freedoms, especially the freedom to make our own choices and the freedom to vote.
