Conservative group targets women voters

(CNN) - The Concerned Women for America conservative group on Tuesday announced what they hope to be a $1 million voter identification, registration, and turnout effort targeting women.

The group said the effort, She Votes, would be focused in 23 states - including the battlegrounds of Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and Virginia - in which the CWA has operations.

– Check out the CNN Electoral Map and Calculator and game out your own strategy for November.

The effort is also targeting voters in Michigan, which the CNN electoral map predicts is trending in President Barack Obama's favor, and Missouri and North Carolina, which leans towards GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

"We will light a 'grassfire' amongst our constituents to reach women, families, and cultural leaders," CWA president Penny Nance said in statement. "This is a critical election year, and the time is now for women to stand up and let their voices be heard."

The political action committee associated with the group both received and spent approximately $24,000 in the first quarter of this year.

It is so entertaining reading the desperation in the leftist's posts. They are already making up excuses for an Obama loss in november. They did learn something from Obama though, blame someone else or it is someone else's fault that Obama lost. "Obama will win but Republicans will steal the election......" The desperation in that post is priceless!!!!!

.....Oh yes and "let a baby be born" to a mother who cannot care for it or someone who does not want it and then whose responsibility is it? YoursThe conservative position SHOULD be to cover birth control so as to lower abortion rates.......................

If she kept her legs closed, she would not have to worry about it. Contraceptives are available, but I should not have to pay for anyone to get them. If a woman wants to be a s–t, they can buy their own. Or suffer the consequences of their actions. This is not a nanny state yet.

non issue – obviously you are pro-government jobs and wish you too could be working in the GSA office wasting time and collecting a nice pay. Bain does have a lot of employees and some of those employees donated to Obama's campaign ads so I guess Bain's money ended up in Obama's campaign. Huh, figure that one out.

Why would any woman belong to such a group, where they can voice their opinion, but do as they are told by the men in their life. Intelligent Republican woman is an oxymoron.

@just askin–The reason is lots of Republican women are all flash and no substance and that's the way the party likes it.

My views, your post has nothing to do with what I said. There are corporations posting record profits, if you doubt that look it up. I said nothing of support to public work. It is about people getting work where ever they can. The GOP blocked a jobs bill, that would have put infrastructure back and those are not all public jobs.

@Thinks2010 that may be the dumbest explanation I have ever heard. I think that @just asking nailed it. I could look at 100 women and based on appearance alone I could guess the correct political affiliation. Liberals are usually angry at the world and feel that everybody owes them.

Yeah conservatives better get after this voting block after essentially doing their darnedest to completely alienate them!
Skip over false liberals. Remember the anti women bias from the Dems in 2008. Vote Green Party!

I'm relatively moderate, but I want contaception and abortion to remain legal, ergo, I cannot support the current GOP.
